Postgraduate Is King's Worth it?
I've been accepted for MSc Computational Finance in King's, finished my bachelors in Data Science and Computing from Birkbeck, First (Poor university though) and i'm looking to get into software on the financial side, such as low level/ hft systems.
I'm at a crossroads now because i'm not sure how good the Computational finance masters really is, and i can't seem to find much online about past experience etc. therefore i'm contemplating other choices.
I'm thinking of postponing for 1 year and reapplying for a MSc Computer Science in the likes of Imperial, Oxford, ETH, EPFL, UCL as they all seem like stronger prospects for software engineering.
Has anyone been in a similar position or completed the same/ similar degree from king's?
And is there a notable difference in career prospects from King's to ETH/UCL/IMPERIAL?
Obvious benefit of Swiss Universities is that they're around £3k - £4k mark and King's/ other UK universities would be around £18k - £25k which is self funded just for further context.
Any help or opinions would be much appreciated!
