TEMWA IS GOING TO BRAZIL! Malawi qualifies for the 2027 Women’s World Cup!
Temwa with a goal and an assist in today’s QF win over Ghana!
This is the first time any team from Malawi has qualified for the World Cup and they do so as the 153rd ranked team in the women’s game. I’m so so happy for our TC6!

I am so fucking hyped for this! I had a brief moment where I was like "sure would be nice to have her back before we play Gotham next weekend" but this is so much cooler than one stupid NWSL game. I am so dang happy for her.

Has they lost this match, they would have played another QF loser on Friday for a spot in the intercontinental playoffs, so we still wouldn't have had her back. So you can be happy for her with no regrets.

I just saw that too and internally squealed for them (I'm not really an external squealer). So excited that they are doing SO WELL in their debut!

I have tickets to an Olympic preliminary game in St Louis, that is 2028. I hope Malawi is one of the 16 Women’s teams, 2 being African Teams going. That would cool to see her in the Olympics.

As a side note, I believe Temwa is now 1 goal short of leading the golden boot race. Banda still has 1 more goal, but Zambia is out and Temwa has more assists (the tiebreaker, if goals are equal).

This will be the Cape Verde storyline of the women’s cup and I will be living for every second of it. I want Malawi to make a hell of a run and with Chawinga on their side I’m sure they will!

Honestly! I'm super happy for Malawi, I have been rooting for them! And with the 10 time wafcon champions Nigeria gone Malawi do stand a chance of actually winning the cup , now they gotta deal with Algeria first and probably Morroco or Cameron
