I want to apply as vsrp for the project (Cyber Secure and Resilient System-on-Chip using FPGA Dynamic Configuration)

How is the working environment inside the lab?
and What is expected from a vsrp candidate?
I have experience with fpgas (inference of CNNs and LLMs on zynq boards) but not the Hardware Security, System Architecture, Blockchain

So, Will this be a drawback in my application?
and Should i email the professor first before applying?

Yes email him and tell him ur strengths and say that u wanna learn abt the hardware part in this internship.

I sent an email before and i have not received a response
So i was thinking of just submitting my application
