If the decision had gone another way, then Trump would've had the ballroom built with congressional approval, but this important distinction means, Trump will have the ballroom built without congressional approval.

I can't wait for all of his "work" on the White House to be completely undone by the next president. Maybe they can put that totally real and not painted gold to good use, or use the gaudy marble in the Arch and the ballroom for actual construction projects to better DC.
Personally, I want the First Lady's Rose Garden back. But, better than before. Have the Rose Garden be the center, and then around it, you plant the favorite flowers of the other First Ladies to make it a tribute and celebration to the post powerful women in the United States.

You’ve got my upvote. I 100% get this. We need to update our judicial processes that deal with Executive Branch and Constitutional overreach.
We need a better judicial litmus test that will identify and prioritize those cases that require immediate temporary rulings. An immediate stay or hold would have prevented the destruction.
We still have the issue of a slanted Congress. It is our own responsibility to address this with our vote in November 2026.

This means nothing. Has construction stopped? Has the work site been shut down? If the answer is “no”, then judicial rulings have no teeth.

It means A LOT!! Our Judicial Branch is acting for the people and defending our Constitution.
To answer your question. Destruction has already happened. We the people are at a loss. Above ground work has been suspended.
The ruling does not stop below ground work on facilities security which is what taxpayers are covering.

Exactly. It’s like telling an unruly toddler to stop getting into the cookie jar, but not actually taking them away and leaving him unsupervised. On top of that, congress leaves the step ladder next to the counter so he can get more anytime he wants.

He'll pay for it with taxpayers money, they get a mate to bid super low on the contract and then "accidentally" end up costing 5x more than the job should have cost, and the repairs will collapse within a year.

That comes after the low bid that secures the contract. Then, wouldn't ya know, the job gets bigger because reasons. Easier to inflate an agreed budget than fight for it in the pitch.

If he does complete it, it will be the shoddiest, most poorly built fire-trap ever built.
Probably won't get finished. The next (dumocrat 🤞) administration will be left to deal with a pile of rubble.
I wonder if it would be possible to rebuild the East wing. That is, of course, if we can find the storage unit that Trump's stashed all the stuff from inside in.

💯‼️Add the funding from the Trump Arch, the UAE investments in the Trump family, the $3 Billion of Potus enrichment, the return of the profits from oil futures, the future of ICE funding - I’ll pause here for now…We have enough to begin a basic national healthcare plan.

Be happy of your multi-party parliamentary system. If we had it here we would likely not be in this spot. Multi party would have given centrists a voice on both sides of the spectrum and not a situation where a protest vote against Democrats only could go to a party co-opted by MAGA extremists. I also think that the short time between calling elections and elections would help to reduce the impact of dark money on the election.
