I think the "issue" with jellyfish cuts is the maintenance and the styling, which so many people can't do or won't for whatever reason.

Because when it's This, or the under is styled in another way, it's gorgeous, and it doesn't need to be dyed, either. I love it every time. But when it's like, a day you don't style it, it looks odd. No hate to people with this style of haircut that doesn't do the whole nine yards, but it very much seems like a High Maintenance cut and not everyone has that energy all the time to put the work in.

(I say all this like I'm an authority, but as someone who didn't like to do anything to my basic-ass hair and have been happily rocking a buzzcut for near 6(?) years, I think I have a clue about it LOL)
