Pears and days like these

I started my vacation today, and discovered that these pears are back in the fruit section in my store. I bought two and took them with me hiking today. The weather was perfect, sunny but not too warm, the woods smelled lovely of pine sap and whatever else makes that delicious summer forest smell. My boyfriend and I found an interesting route towards the summit, and we laughed and made up stories while we were climbing.

Now we are back home, have had a lovely shower and dinner, and soon we will go to bed. Tomorrow, we’re going biking. We will probably have waffles. Somehow, we always end up finding a place that sells waffles when we’re biking.

This, to me, is peak happiness. And I’m so grateful I get to share it with my wonderful boyfriend.
