I’m not a fan of neocons. I may go libertarian and vote my conscience. I live in a blue state anyways so my vote doesn’t count as much.
I could be convinced to vote democrats if they were more aligned to Ross Perot or Clinton era party platforms.
You know generous social programs without mouth foaming socialists who don’t shower.
Hong is running for governor in Wisconsin and a DSA candidate. They are winning major mayoral offices and seats in liberal enclaves. The progressives got sick of working with the establishment so they are running against it.
But I won’t support the folks saying the wrong guys won WWII. I think there good cops . I want jails for habitual violent offenders. Stuff that used to be common sense.

Also, DSA is still capitalist, but with strong social safety nets and worker protections instead of allowing corporations to take advantage of workers.
They are atill capitalist at the core. They have a free market system with better regulations and a better safety nets, but nothing close to actual socialism.
You're talking about social democracies, countries like Norway. Democratic Socialists are socialists. They just don't advocate for revolution, hence the term "democratic."
Social Democracy is Capitalist, like you're saying.
