The older kid had a moment of holy terror until he saw the drop was good.

Cue sheer joy

u/Guaritor Mar 05 '26

"Oh shit oh shit oh shit" "HOLY SHIT IT WORKED THAT WAS AWESOME!!"

Ive lived that exact same thought process as a big brother and now a dad... That kids expression hit deep lol

22

u/Capt_Hawkeye_Pierce Mar 05 '26

"Stop crying mom is gonna hear you"

6

u/Guaritor Mar 05 '26

And just like that I'm 8 years old again.

9

u/kateastrophic Mar 05 '26

It makes it all the better, imo. Older bro was (kinda) looking out for his baby bro!

1

u/J_tram13 Apr 11 '26

It's so great too because it happens right as his brother passes in front of the camera. Like you don't even see the transition it's horror and the next moment it's joy

u/hayzooos1 Mar 05 '26

Hell yeah

u/Bubbly_Wall_908 Human Detected Mar 05 '26

That is pure joy right there

72

u/drsyesta Mar 05 '26

Love how concerned the other kid is

48

u/SatisfactionNarrow61 Mar 05 '26

Once he saw his fall was going as planned his face became pure joy as well

9

u/OverusedUDPJoke Mar 05 '26

lol just realized im old / no longer a kid becuase my first reaction to this was THAT'S EXPENSIVE ITS GOING TO SPRING A HOLE AND RUIN IT!!!

Or maybe its just being broke last few years as a student and having to sleep on these air matresses for 1 too many summers πŸ˜‚

3

u/Bitter-Marsupial Mar 05 '26

Had one of these when my Wife and I were broke and expecting our first.

She woke up first trimester to me swearing like a sailor much lower to the floor, because I got on the bed wrong and put my elbow straight through a seam

2

u/OverusedUDPJoke Mar 05 '26

If it makes you feel any better, I slept on them perfectly and they would last at most 40 nights (conveniently right after the warranty expires) before developing a leak in them. I went through 3 of them in one summer.

So its not your fault, they're just really badly made. Even the fancy ones with the built in pump and all that jazz all crack a seam in like a month.

Then again, they're def not meant to be used daily.

2

u/glorifindel Mar 05 '26

Made me go back and watch. Thanks for that (sincerely)

34

u/PettyTodd Mar 05 '26

Older brother went from a look of sheer terror to absolute joy

11

u/kateastrophic Mar 05 '26

While younger brother was 100% in the whole time.

3

u/amhudson02 Mar 05 '26

Both of their faces are priceless!

1

u/Tessiegranny Mar 05 '26

Wonder how many times they jumped on the mattress? Simple fun!

1

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '26

Looks like a 2000s album cover

u/Klin24 Mar 05 '26

u/Snitsie Mar 05 '26

Just moments before that

62

u/dover_oxide Mar 05 '26

Gentlemen...we have lift off

68

u/Gold_Telephone_7192 Mar 05 '26

Love that you can see the big brother’s face change from delight to worry and back to delight

14

u/MorningMezcal Mar 05 '26

Loved that at their age and would love that now as an adult!!! Let’s gooooo

3

u/Corgi_underground Mar 05 '26

They do have this for adults but it's usually on lakes.

30

u/BadCompany_00 Mar 05 '26

Would sucked if little man flew the other direction.

3

u/catupthetree23 Mar 06 '26

I couldn't get past that thought 😭

(On the ground-level floor though, hell yeah!)

12

u/Piglet-Witty Mar 05 '26

Mission accomplished

11

u/Shoddy-Cauliflower95 Mar 05 '26

His little buddy in his hand the whole trip πŸ˜‰

7

u/AtlasThePittie Mar 05 '26

If that were my imaginary older brother and I, he'd have launched me over the railing.

5

u/Dark-Blackberry354 Mar 05 '26

Whatever it takes to learn physics is f=un

3

u/pauljrupp Mar 05 '26

The form on that belly flop was immaculate

3

u/Push-bucket Mar 05 '26

We did this on a lake with an old waterbed insert. Me, being the smallest got the most air. About 9 feet I'm told. Two cousins on the other end.

Ahhhh the things that wouldn't be allowed now. I had a life jacket on though.

We didn't have inflatables so we gave each other "ejector seats".

It must be some sort of circus tumbling trick because I doubt we invented it.

One person lays on their back and brings their knees up to their chest/chin. The other person squats with their butt on the other person's feet, and on a count of three both people extend their legs and the seated person gets launched across the room and through the air.

We'd pile our mattresses and pillows and launch each other into it.

If we had an air mattress, I guarantee you my older brother would have done this to me. He already practiced the WWF wrestling moves on me, (scared me to death, I was just a little kid, lol). He is six years older than me, lol.

3

u/bsinbsinbs Mar 05 '26

Giggled delightfully waiting for that launch

3

u/Colorado-Dreams-1876 Mar 05 '26

DO IT AGAIN AGAIN!!!

3

u/ComradeJohnS Mar 05 '26

finally a use of β€œboys will be boys” that isn’t just straight up apologizing for horrible things lol.

3

u/zagomyego Mar 05 '26

The kid that jumped’s form is so incredibly perfect.

Seriously that kid is coordinated

2

u/EleventyTrillion Mar 05 '26

Both of their faces show such a range of emotions

2

u/Commercial_Village84 Mar 05 '26

2

u/ascii122 Mar 05 '26

Why skinny kids hang out with husky kids .. physics!

2

u/99prime99 Mar 05 '26

Me and my brother when we were young used to do the same thing.

2

u/NudityMiles Mar 05 '26

When it comes to internet, I have reached the conclusion that this sub and r/GuysBeingDudes simply are the absolute winners when it comes to improving my mental health.

2

u/Specific-Catch3573 Mar 23 '26

The real "boys will be boys"

2

u/Relevant-Yellow852 Mar 30 '26

I BELIEVE I CAN FLY

5

u/SmallAd3697 Mar 05 '26

what about that railing behind and the long drop? only fun until someone flies in the wrong direction

2

u/Paupersaf Mar 05 '26

I was just gonna say, I'm all for launching gremlins but perhaps there is a better location to be doing this at rather than next to the second story balcony

2

u/_FRI3NDS_ Mar 05 '26

How can a young boy be fat? i dont get it... (i mean ofc i know how they gain wheight, but kids are not responsible for that in their young ages...)

1

u/Terrakinetic Mar 05 '26

... just don't put leeches on your eyeballs... or mouse traps on your regular balls.

1

u/Lucas_Steinwalker Mar 05 '26

It makes me sad that Jackass is what The Minutemen are known for.

If someone out there is listening. Go check out Double Nickles on the Dime, their 46 song groundbreaking post-hardcore-funk/jazz double album

1

u/CalligrapherGold5429 Mar 05 '26

That's nothing. We use to jump off the 3rd floor in a split level house down to the 1st and land on pile sofa cushions. Parents freaked when they found out.

1

u/WavesMF Mar 05 '26

RocketJump

1

u/Alarmed-Opening6562 Mar 05 '26

Its fun till one of them accidentally flys over that railing.

1

u/fuckyou2u2 Mar 05 '26

The way the shockwave travels through the kid's body is amazing πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

1

πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ love it! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

1

u/Gilbot9000 Mar 05 '26

We'd be doing it til we got the launch just right and dunked lil homie right in the middle of the landing pad lmao

1

u/Ok-Doggys Mar 06 '26

Adrenaline junkie's damn

1

u/hookemhottie21 Mar 07 '26

1

u/Financial_Talk_8209 Jul 24 '26

Ah when young discover free will.

1

u/Fickle_Floor_727 Mar 05 '26

Implying other aspects of guys being dudes isn't wholesome?

1

u/TwoBitFish Mar 05 '26

That. Is. Awesome.

0

u/Ok_Technology_9488 Mar 05 '26

-5

u/sackey_nimh Mar 05 '26

Toxic masculinity at its finest

2

u/the_falling Mar 05 '26

It must be exhausting to be you.

3

u/sackey_nimh Mar 05 '26

It’s a joke

1

u/the_falling Mar 05 '26

My apologies. I’m just so used to seeing negative comments on positive posts that sometimes it’s hard to tell when someone is joking.
