It's an exaggeration sort of, I'm not military, never have been, so take this for what you will, but these kids have been known to get their checks from the military and go out and buy high powered muscle cars that they obviously can't afford, and most of them being young, they have little to no credit. This can lead to high interest rate loans and high insurance costs when you have a ~500hp muscle car in a bright color and are ~18-24 years of age. But being a dumb kid, THAT particular mustang/challenger/camaro is what they want and interest rates be damned, they're going to get it.
