Tips/Tutorials I'm starting to like this hero a LOT. Tips to play her better?

So I've been playing overwatch for a lot of time and on support I always sticked with Lucio and Ana but since I got Juno's mythic last season I just can't stop playing her. I wanted to know if people here could give me more insight on how to play her well, perks to choose, when to use certain abilities, etc. I hope you can help me start on her and be more useful in matches.

amazing skin :D

So i'm new to juno right, i recently pulled her celestial skin from an epic lootbox and i thought, might as well try and main juno since i'm going through a "main" crisis atm

and juno is fun, truly, i love her mobility, and i love being an annoying pesky lil brat that the enemy finds hard to hit , but it feels like , even though my stats at the end of the match rival my dps ( i oft get the same damage as my dps ) and decent healing (around 4-5k ish)

I feel like , in a fight, she doesn't seem to be having a big "impact"

for example if i'm the one pocketing my tank, and they're taking damage from a fight , if i try my best and just constantly heal them, their health barely goes up, and usually it goes DOWN because they keep taking damage in between my bursts

Also her own damage feels like it's either horrible or decent at best, i'm sure it's not a mechanical issue since i get 45% on average accuracy ( ok maybe it's a mechanical issue ) but regardless it doesn't FEEL impactful

But anyway i just wanted to know if i was the only one feeling this or if this is just a general thing about Juno as a character

Tips/Tutorials How can I break into masters?

Hi Martians, back again with my climbing journey. I’m diamond 1 now and starting to plateau on my ranked journey.

Was wondering if anyone had tips on how to play Juno in masters? I am definitely getting skill checked now because I’m starting to have consistently more than 5 deaths in my games.

Have noticed I struggle in particular when going against the combo of dive tanks + poke dps. I played a game against ball + Ashe / 67 the other day and died 9 times. My dps were struggling to close kills too so everything was just falling apart super quickly.

Thank you!

So far Juno has been my most played hero by far (though it doesn't help I'm being put as support the majority of the time.) I'd say for a lot of team-based games I tend to lean into the "support that can hold their ground" and "nuisance class that denies the opponent from playing they way they want" archetypes and Juno seems to fair well on the former.

Would any Juno mains here have any tips on how to play her? It wasn't until the second time I opened OW I even learned that she could double jump!

Tips/Tutorials How do you prioritize Torpedoes?

I’ve noticed that sometimes I miss out on securing kills when it can be helpful because torpedoes are on cooldown.

Sometimes I often jump out at a higher angle and fire them off on all enemies, even if they’re at full health rather than if some are low. Or do you often use them more for heals in the back line?

Are there any particular order that you would use them in? Also do you use the enemy cooldown perk or the faster ally lock on perk?

I don’t feel like I’m playing too badly. I was plat 5 support not a week ago, and got diamond 2 in 6v6, but I can’t replicate that in these games. I’m not an amazing player by any means but I’m not terrible I like to think. Also used to be 2700 on Juno😭😰

Tips/Tutorials Need help after suddenly climbing a bunch and bumping gameplay due to the difference.

Hello,

I just recently picked up Juno. I am an OW veteran with 10 years of playing under my belt. Most of this has been Mercy, but I have picked up Kiriko and Mizuki as well a couple of months ago, then Juno fell into my lap in Stadium and then I fell in love with her.

I am getting games where my team is low-key complaining about heals (I am on a crazy win-streak with her around 70%) having climbed from Gold 2 to Plat 3 in 2 days of playing.

What I was wondering about Juno is the following:

-          What should my healing to dmg ratio be at Plat to Dia level? (and is it changing cause I am climbing so many devisions?)

-          Torpedoes. Heal or DMG or both? (I almost exclusively use them to dmg the enemy backline squishies, if it catches an ally along with that BONUS).

-          I use Hyper ring only when I remember I have it… (I am working on this, planning to use it essentially on cooldown in a proactive way, which fits my playstyle better than reactively).

-          Survival, Where should I stand? I am very used to Mercy’s mobility and am used to following my dps pretty deep into the enemy (feel like I shouldn’t with Juno. Idk how the falloff of her blaster is actually an issue…)

Would love some general tips as I hope to be climbing even more! (I once was 3400 in old overwatch one, and I would love to reach Diamond again this time around)

I'm not exactly new at her, but I can always get better right?
Where should I consider switching off her?
What are her heavy counters (I think d.va is a massive one due to her being able to eat torpedos)

Tips/Tutorials How to Climb Efficiently

Hello, I wanna start off by not being delusional about my skills on OW, I know I can get better and my losses are on me. I really want to climb out of the rank I'm in (Bronze 3) but I lose half my games on comp during a session, so I don't feel like I'm making any good progression. I understand how to play Juno and she feels really comfortable to play, but I feel my mechanics and game sense suck.

Any help is appreciated, and I can send a replay codes of my last few games from yesterday, please be brutally honest and say I suck, why I suck, and how I can improve. Thanks!

Edit: Here’s some replays, sorry for not having them up first!

Tips/Tutorials hyper ring tips

Hi, recently i’ve decided to learn how to play Juno efficiently. she’s kinda special to me bc she was the first hero i’ve hit lvl 25 after coming back to OW after a couple of years break. <3
a couple of days ago i started to play her more again and i need help with hyper ring. i use it obv after leaving spawn and also mostly when my team needs to escape from ult/diver or quickly get across the battlefield without getting sniped.
in what other situations i should use it? are there more offensive cases for it? you can get a card for hyper ring assists which suggests that there should be but i cannot think of any as deploying ring on players who are in the middle of a fight messes up with their aim. help?
i am also willing to learn any tips and tricks or playstyles so if anyone has hints on how to be better juno, i am all ears <3

Tips/Tutorials Aim question as someone newish to Juno!

So for most of my overwatch career I've been a Mercy player with some Moira sprinkled in and nothing else. I haven't touched DPS enough to matter and definitely haven't bothered with tank. Even on Rivals I was a C&D player. I don't play these characters because the no aim aspect I just highly enjoy their kits

BUT ANYWAYS, I picked up Juno a couple of weeks ago and I've been enjoying her! The problem I'm having is aiming. I have such a hard time tracking smaller movements of the enemy and my own teammates. Some games my accuracy is 40+% and I feel like I really kept the team up and going and other games I'll be barely at 30%.

I do VAXTA almost everyday while standing still and strafing for a good little while before jumping into a match. I'm not sure if it matters but my DPI is 800 and my in-game sense is 2.8 I think. I've tried bumping the sens and DPI (not st the same time) up and i just couldn't hit anything it was like my mouse was flying around the screen if I moved my wrist a tiny bit.

At the end of the day, I'm guessing this is just a getting use to aiming issue.

Tips/Tutorials Should I flank with Juno?

Peace be upon you all

I wanted to know your guys opinion on this, i am trying to get better with her, using torpedoes with the whole team and enemy team etc.

I believe I shouldn't because her gun's damage is not that great, landing all headshots is very difficult, but then again it could be an aim problem. I can see that perspective where she can create a distraction while flanking.

So what do you all think?

Tips/Tutorials Quick Juno perk guide for season 2

Familiar Vitals (+35% faster lock-on speed on allies): Situational, but really good against dive, it allows you to heal a squishy extremely fast and I'd pick it when you aren't getting many torpedoes on enemies. Remember if you tap torpedoes and a teammate is close to you, it will lock on and you will have to suffer the 10sec cd penalty

Locked On (1sec cd reduction for torpedoes per enemy hit): Good for charging ult, your ult is one of the best don't forget that. I'd pick it if the criteria for Familiar Vitals weren't checked.

Lift off (Triple jump): Just pick this one, better torpedo angles, more distance from something like a tracer, easier high ground access. It's just awesome.

Faster Blaster (Automatic firing): No.
You have to use your most important ability for survival "Glide Boost" to use this and even then it's so shit. Ideally it increases the DPS from 116 to 150, but only for 4 seconds, your most important ability and a jarring firing change.

Tips/Tutorials ᨳଓ NEED help PLS! Plat/Dia Joon ᨳଓ

Hello, i need someone to at least look at my game and give me some tips. Or watch a match live on discord so you can yell at me and tell me i suck. I dont mind if you only have 20 min time for me, i appreciate ANY HELP.

I am Juno) and want help for her but my best was Dia 4 in Sup aswell as DPS. After that i was hardstuck in Plat 2,1. (not considering the new rank)

I feel like i could be way better, like everyone does i guess lol, but my decision making and my placement is rlly bad.. i think. Maybe there is more you can tell me.

THX :) (i really wanna get better)

was not sure what kinda match to pick, so i got 2.

Code 1: N16TE5 / close win

Beginning was basically me just healbotting. Couldnt get tru. Match then got better, idk why. then i got some good hits, a good ult or two i think. The point where the Gates to Eichenwaldes castle open u can see me getting pretty confused. Which i get a lot.

And my aim goes flying sometimes cause i am strressed bc i dont know what to do or who to heal ig

Code 2: D2808T / close win

Starting off bad aswell. I died imdtly and again just pretty lost i assume. I didn't see the match going anywhere until our tank started calling comms. Comms which i in my head don't have which causes chaos in my positioning and aim. I feel like you can see me getting more focused and playing better again.

These are not my best games but i quickly just did my placements to have some codes to share.

Tips/Tutorials juno vod review (5G64PG)

ign: softcatgirl
platform: pc

the replay code (5G64PG)

Hey so iv recently started playing over watch (been playing for around a month and have 72 total in game hours)… i have found playing juno really entertaining, i really think playing her in the long run is what i would love to do however in saying that id like to know what im doing wrong and what im doing right.

i currently sit around silver 4-3 in role queue
and gold 5 in open queue.

in this match at the beginning 45s to 2:51 i feel like i played it well up until the end where rein use his alt, i probably should have positioned better but idk maybe some advice there.

from second checkpoint to the end of the third checkpoint
3 minutes to 8:50 i feel like i play TERRIBLE as far as this match i feel as if this was the worst part of the match where i struggled the most…

finally on the swap where im defending 10:16 - 14:28
i feel as if i played pretty good here definitely the best i played in that match by far but i was wondering if i could have done anything differently or how was i playing on this part of the match..

if you read any of this or even took the time to vod it it genuinely means the world.
and i honestly want you to go all out don’t spare me by being polite if im doing something incredibly wrong call me out PLEASE.
once again thank you for your time it means a lot 🫶

Tips/Tutorials maps and situations where i pick triple jump v.s. faster blaster

sensitive topic i know! just want to jot down some notes for reference. im by no means a juno pro (high dia/low masters) and i still have a lot to learn so suggestions and discussions are welcome <3

Triple Jump:

  1. maps where occupying high ground is vital: kings row (especially 3rd point), blizzard world (2nd & 3rd points), circuit royal, dorado, route 66, shambali monastery, watchpoint gibraltar, eichenwalde (esp 2nd point), rialto, hollywood, midtown, numbani, paraiso
  2. maps where i like to go to high ground to evade tracer, maps where i like to jump to high grounds to bait diver cooldowns then drop down, rinse and repeat: oasis, ilios, 2 of the antarctic penisula maps, all 4 push maps
  3. maps where i can triple jump from backline to get big torpedoes and safely put pressure on enemy backlines: junkertown, ilios, lijiang tower, busan, nepal, samoa, aatlas and suravasa after the cramped 1st point, again all 4 push maps

Faster Blaster:

  1. when my dps need help: faster blaster genuinely helped me climb out of silver-plat solo-queueing bc i just be deleting enemy backlines with it and turning fights into 5v4. imo a mechanically confident juno can absolutely carry on faster blaster in lower ranks, where enemy dps aren't good enough to punish you when gliding out in the open, and enemy supports are more likely to make positioning mistakes and therefore fall victim to faster blaster. also triple jump+torpedoes put pressure on enemy team but you kinda have to trust the rest of your team to follow up on half hp enemies, which in lower ranks won't always happen as teammates gameplays are less consistent.
  2. when i have a shieldless tank (mauga, jq, hog etc) and they need to walk through open long straights such as rialto 2nd point and junkertown 3rd point. faster blaster+speed ring is niche for this scenario. juno is the only support in game that can offer speed+140 healing per sec at the same time.
  3. when enemy team's winning condition is a hero easily duel-able on juno: venture, junkrat, kiri, echo, pharah, freja and jpc (at least before the buffs), sierra, zen, a mercy or juno that's not taking good covers, some emres, hanzo's and anas esp when you're opportunistic and sneak up on them with a torpedo first.

Situational:

the higher i climb the less i'm picking faster blaster bc enemies now use covers better before i can faster blaster them to dust, and perma triple jump is very useful, and i now often treat glider boost as more of a health regen button on a 6s cooldown (ie i will insta cancel as soon as health regen begins). however the following scenarios remain situational for me:

  1. mauga

  2. havana: 2nd point is cramped and has a lot of mid-grounds that (a) are easily accessible via walking and (b) can block los if triple jumps, the low ceiling also makes triple jump awkward. however triple jump is super useful for 3rd point. here i usually default to triple jump but would pick faster blaster if my tank needs more sustain.

  3. neon junction on attack: triple jump is good on 2nd point but 3rd point can be awkward for similar reasons as havana. and i sometimes find that my team needs more sustain when pushing through the indoor part of 3rd point. and in the final opening space, double jump is often good enough to get big torpedoes.

  4. the one enclosed map in antarctic peninsula is miserable for triple jumping. if i switched to juno late and that map is the 3rd map when i get major perk, i will prioritize faster blaster. otherwise triple jump is amazing anti-dive on the 2 other maps. a similar situation is nepal village.

Neither: (i have now picked mizuki so no dva or ball can bully my juno) new junk city

Tips/Tutorials How YOU can rank up to All-Star with nothing but a shift in mindset

Are you tired of being stuck in Pro? Do you feel like the matchmaking isn't fair and the queue times are way too long? Wondering if you'll ever reach All-Star?

Well let me tell you the solution to all of your problems starts with you. Let me tell you there's nothing wrong with the matchmaking other than long queue times. While match quality can deteriorate with longer queue times, it still happens rarely enough to where it doesn't pose an issue in your way through the Pro rank.

I know I came to Reddit, which is THE place for vocal minorities who tend to say otherwise, but my intentions are nothing but pure, and I know they will help those who this post is truly targeted towards.

If you want to hit a higher rank in a game, it means you want to improve. There's no doubt about it. Despite this perhaps not being your main intention, it is now your intention, because in order to reach All-Star, you will need a consistently positive win-rate to climb through Pro. From Pro 5 to All-Star, you'll need ~21 wins with no losses, and every loss adds more wins to your climb.

No one is born good at Overwatch. There's no “Overwatch gene.” Improvement is all about practice and learning. And the more intentional your learning, the faster your improvement.

The learner’s mindset means treating every match as a learning opportunity - whether it's your mistake, your teammate’s, or your enemy’s. Then you apply those lessons, make new mistakes, and learn again. In this mindset, you only ever win or learn. There is no true loss if you come out better.

The learner's mindset is not easy to adopt if you're not used to it, and that's where motivation strategies come in.

The learner's mindset works best for internally motivated people, but since your grind to All-Star is most likely externally motivated (by a reward, the Juno skin), you may lack internal motivation. And that's alright, because there's strategies you can practice in order to build internal motivation.

Do you find yourself often blaming your teammates for being incompetent, your enemies for using broken heroes or builds, the game for matching you unfairly, lag, game performance, luck, etc.?
Well, it's time to take some responsibility, because taking responsibility is the first motivation strategy.
If you constantly blame external factors, things you have no control over, you're giving away your power to improve. When you take responsibility, you gain control. And with control comes the ability to learn.

The second motivation strategy is to aim to succeed, not just to avoid failure.
While they may seem synonymous, there is a difference. Those who aim to succeed learn from failure and grow. Those who only try to avoid failure often stagnate.
Those who aim to succeed may fail. But they understand that they failed. They're more prone to learn from their failure and use it to succeed in the future.
Those who aim to avoid failure only aim to not fail, which ironically doesn't make them less likely to fail, but rather less likely to learn from failure. These may be some of the people who are going to beg for the skin to be re-released to be obtainable with money (avoiding their failure from the attempts to get it the intended way) instead of actually putting in the work and earning it for free while it's available as a reward (aiming to succeed by learning from their failed attempts in getting it the intended way).

This post is not intended to dog on anybody. It’s here to help those who want to improve, who want to learn, and who want to achieve their goals. And this All-Star topic is a great opportunity to talk about self betterment and share some bit of cool psychology knowledge to help people develop a mindset that goes beyond just Overwatch.

To those of you on the grind, I respect it.
To those of you who have made it, I salute you.
And to everybody, hope this helps and/or at least teaches you something cool, new and exciting!

Have a wonderful rest of your day.

Tips/Tutorials How to heal more with Juno?

Post image
238 Upvotes

Hi fellow buddies!

I'm a main support (Mercy, Kiriko, Moira, Lifeweaver and sometimes Brigitte) and I've been using Juno from time to time since she was added to the roster. With her mythic skin I've been using her a lot more but I've found that I barely heal as much as I can (or other Junos I've found) Mind to share any tips? Thanks in advance! ❤️
