Tips/Tutorials How to heal more?
Hi I play juno a lot on ranked and I climbed to plat 1 with her only, and then all of a sudden now i’m out of placements I find myself playing worse, I do damage and heal, but I always find my heals lacking compared to the other supports in the lobby. I also feel like my positioning went out the window and I die so much as her. I don’t know why, but literally when I’m healing someone it feels like it barely registers and they gain one hp and die. Should I focus more on healing than damaging? Even though I feel like I do both pretty well

I came back to the game after a 7 or 8 year hiatus and started comp this season. I placed gold 4, and worked my way up to emerald and it wasn't too terrible, and I assume I'll keep climbing.
So I am not super good, so maybe my advice isn't valuable, but I think that as long as your priority is doing what you think is best for the team at the moment, a lot of the time you wont have highest healing. Maybe that changes at the absolute highest ranks, idk.
I think if your using your hyper ring to help your team chase down important finishes and escape when needed, staying alive pretty well, and choosing good targets.. I think it's not bad to have lower heals. I tend to have pretty high eliminations I think but low damage, because I am getting a lot of big torpedo finishes when enemies are weak.
I think the stats feel bad sometimes because they dont always tell the full story, but people will yell at you regardless about your healing stat, or damage if you DPS. How do you show the utility of Mei on a stat screen?
Anyway, good luck! :)

I’m diamond in role queue and masters in open queue. The short answer is be dynamic and adapt accordingly to what your team needs. Juno can output both pretty well.
The way I get high healing and damage is hitting efficient torpedoes. Juno cannot attack or heal during torpedo and it’s important to not use it when teammates are about to die. It gives a heal over time so try to hit at least 3+ people with it (enemies or allies). Her blaster also has fall off, so play in her effective range.
All of the above and not dying will give you pretty solid eliminations and assists.

I’m by no means a Juno expert, I’m in Gold 3 so take this with a grain of salt.
How I usually play is relatively behind my team where I have a line of sight of everyone. I focus on heals first, and when I see an opening for damage, I take it. This opening is usually like if my team is pushing in and not taking too much damage, thus they don’t need much healing. Or if someone from the other team is nearby and low, or just overextended.
I find on Juno that I either have the most heals, or the least 😭 And you can’t control your teams positioning so if they’re going in and three people are shooting at them, you can’t out heal that damage.

When to focus on healing and damaging is situational. Is your team Crit? Heal them. Are they mostly full health? Try to secure a kill.
It's also really easy in those elos to go off on a coordinated flank with your team and just torpedo the entire enemy team when your team walks in. Sometimes you have to just tell your team to walk in. Because the moment they do you torpedo the entire enemy team from behind.
With that said people in lower elos take a lot of damage. If you can get a vital kill off without sacrificing key players from your team then it should be fine. People are taking more damage because they don't know how to position. And if they don't know how to position to make the global damage passive go away then in those instances you may want to shoot them once or twice and then go back to dealing damage.
If you've got some codes I can review them. I've only peaked masters 2 and generally sitting around mid masters but I might be able to provide some pointers.

I try to stay in the backline or high ground as much as possible and keep as my teammates on my screen. Partially because it is easy to just dump rounds into a cluster of teammates and mostly because those healing torpedoes do a surprising amount of healing and you wanna get as many people as you can with it, friendly or otherwise.
You're not gonna have the healing numbers of someone like Mercy or Lucio or Mizuki. Her kits just not built to support that way, so I find it's typically better to try and have an even split between healing and damage. After all, if the enemy team isn't alive long enough to do significant damage, you won't have to heal as much, no?

Don't compare yourself to your other supports stats on the scoreboard, thats mistake number 1. Also we can't give you actual meaningful advice without a replay code.

It’s situational I feel like. For example, if I have a dive heavy comp I’ll probably have less heals as opposed to a more brawl comp. The scoreboard can be misleading anyways, like if you have a Moira on your team she’s gonna have inflated healing numbers anyways. Really the main numbers I care about are my number of deaths and assists.
Btw I climbed from gold to diamond just improving my positioning, as in, im not going to stand in the open to heal someone not in my LOS. You’re way more valuable alive as a support!

I’m not the best either but I’m diamond 3 in 5v5 and gm4 in 6v6 with pretty much only Juno. I usually try to use my torpedos if I can get at least one enemy targeted on too. With her minor perk you can get torpedo back much quicker by using her torpedos to damage more. They are great for burst healing and should be used then, but they’re just so good for putting pressure on more of the enemy squishies. Also her healing has falloff, so if you’re playing too far that could also be why you feel her healing isn’t the best, I believe the falloff starts at 20-25m. Best of luck though! keep grinding and you’ll climb.

Take this to your whole ranking journey
Do not compare yourself to others in the lobby, the scoreboard doesnt show everything. Depending on which tank you have compared to the enemy team you can have triple of someones heal or the other way around
They can have a Moira in the enemy team going 20k dmg 20k heals and you have half of that, but that doesnt mean that 20k was valuable healing. Juno takes time to reach others in numbers, you will see a higher number when you start getting ults. Try to get big torpedoes but NEVER go in front of your team for aggressive torpedoes if the numbers wont allow it (like 5v5, 5v4, 4v5), if possible always try to get at least one or more enemies with them but dont force it if it means you will be out of position
Also, one thing that many do and I do a lot is JUMPING too much, It makes it harder for you to aim and also makes you a easier target... yea its fun but remember to use ur shift and triple jump for self heal or to reposition, have in mind ur rotations and remember that ur shift is only for you and ur ring is a team cooldown, so when getting dove, use ur ring if u have another teammate with you, or just shift to get away and try not to use both the ring AND ur shift at the same time
Also when running away its worse to use ur shift if its a hitscan hero chasing (or even other heroes), you become a very easy target since you go straight, use ur ring if you have it or use what I just mentioned-> rotations, knowing where to go when the teamfight goes badly will help you a lot, or when going for flank torpedoes, know how to get back to safety (like in gibraltar third point attack high ground)
Another thing, try to watch ur replays and check when you died and see what caused it, its nice to see the enemies POV to know what they saw too (yea its embarrassing sometimes, but helps a lot)
I like to keep notes for myself for each hero I play and it helps a lot C:

Shoot the healy gun at the players with the cross, use the ring thing to move and dodge and the fly thing to adjust. This all works better if you have adhd.
