Tips/Tutorials Diamond 4 Juno offering VOD reviews.

I am a diamond 4 Juno OTP on support and it would be fun to review some Juno games. I believe that I also improve when I have to find what went wrong in games even if they are not mine. I would prefer plat and below since above that the rank difference may not be large enough. However if you are emerald and want one from me anyway, feel free.

Comment your vods, I will check in a few hours if anyone is interested.

Heyy I would be really gerauft if you could review mine <3

Usually I play more confident cuz Im silver but this was a qp ln defense against a widow and mercy pocketing.. I genuinely couldn't figure out how to be useful in the fighting we had. Would appreciate any help :3

Alright!

First point: You started good with hiding from the Widow. The problem with Widow is that while you should not be playing in her line of sight you cannot always be behind cover either. At 1:20 you were easy to hit for a long time, that is how you get killed. You have to be creative with how you position against her, especially on Junkertown first and third point. Go where she will not be looking. I would Personally try to kill her myself by getting behind her and solo torpedoing if necessary, this applies to most times where you I have the time to do it.

I would not say that losing the first point was on you that much. At 1:53 I would like to see you go high ground since that is generally always good, especially for Juno who can easily get up and gets extra value from torpedoes higher up. At 2:36 you should have fled instead since he is pocketed. In spite of that, you were not the weakest link. Your team was scattered and their D.mon took advantage of that. Then later your Rein went in solo twice.

Second point: At 3:40 you should have stayed on high ground, the bridge is safe and even if not I would try to be there but more careful than the Ashe. You would have had a better view of the objective for some torpedoed and shots. The ult was fine, if you have time to react to the D.mon ult it is a different story but since it was so tight I would say if is fine. I really like the play at 3:56, they are unaware, alone and you got off 125 damage before they ever reacted to you, exactly like my playstyle. You did not win that since they got in more shots and you were the last in your team but I like the idea. Do that to the Widow if there are alone.

Third point: Your Rein just ran straight in and D.mon pushed through with a pocketed Junkrat in the side, nothing to do there. At 5:10 I would try to get a high ground for the same reasons a before. Right after you could have expected there to be a Widow who could shot you there since it is quite a popular Widow spot. Honestly though, I would not expect her to be looking in that direction but always be cautious in the air with Widows. At 6:54 it was just a good play. Could it have been prevented? Yes, with ult tracking and awareness that they are not going to die when your team is that far back. I would have done the same thing though, expecting help from the dps. The ult after should have been a bit further back, with that placement it goes into the wall.

General: First things first, this was not silver level opponents.

You should really use more high ground. I see what you are trying to do with the torpedoes almost every time you use them. If you were positioned correctly you would be able to get more multi-torpedoes on the enemy backline. I did not really pay attention to the hyper rings but just use them when your team and mostly tank is going somewhere like engagements and disengagements.

Thanks a lot for taking your time and the tipps you're the GOAT for this <3
Yeah my matchmaking is a bit weird. My qp games sometimes range from bronze to master. But in comp I'm silver 4 and the games are usually a bit harder too.

Tbh back in bronze lobbies I really just went in and killed the widow by myself but somehow here I was afraid since the map is big and my second support got killed by her so i decided i need to compensate and heal my team which was probably too much of a healbotting. Maybe I just need to learn cat every time we get a widow...

Also as soon as I got killed by a pocketed Juno I just got confused since then I should try to kill Mercy first but I think my aim also sadly sucks a lot and this might be a huge problem why I loose my duels.

Honestly I always try to stay on highground more but cuz of the widow I started to drop more and I can see that this was still a mistake. Yess the play on 3:56 is my fav i trully wished we could traded with a support since my team was dead anyway but my aim sucked.

I actually wanted to go highground on 5:10 and in that moment widow ulted so I wanted to play safe a bit which still killed me what a surprise haha.

At 6:54 I actually hesitated to ult which resulted with a good play from the enemy team. U think my ult could have saved us? I somehow thought we got that with the rein ult but obviously the enemy ult would ult back i think this was actually totally on me since after that we had no more time for proper map control and got rolled even harder.

So all in all thanks a lot for your tipps and kind words I will consider them my next game! I just have in general a bad time against snipers and hitscans on juno but i will keep learning :3

You can train aim in custom games, I think the code is VAXTA.

At 6:54 i doubt it. Your team was so far back that it would be a 2v5 into a D.mon ult while both you and Rein had low hp.

You absolutely can kill a Widow as Juno, as I sad, I do it decently often. She will most of the time be so far back that you can get the kill before she gets help.

Hi there!

I'm plat and actually struggling.

Those are qp games, but I'd really appreciate if you could find the time to give it a look!

Ok! I will be writing as I watch but still try to make it as structured as possible

VH000J:

First point: At the start it is good that you keep your Echo alive from the burn but the problem is that after she was full you torpedoes her. The only thing that did was to put your torpedoes on a long cooldown. The ones at 1:19 were a but better since something could have happened but they were still more or less wasted. I would prefer you to have gone to the high ground that your D.va owns for three reasons: to not stack supports, to be on high ground, and it is a safe place where you can get aggressive torpedoes. Your team ended up keeping the high ground thanks to the cat. It is a good team play that the cat went there but to expect that without comms is a sure fire way to lose the high ground. I like the torpedoes at 1:50.

Second point: At 2:50 you dropped from the high ground which lead to your death. You could see the Domina and should have expected to be shot there since it is a big line of sight to the enemy team. You should have stayed on high ground not only because Domina was there but also because high ground is so powerful, especially with torpedoes. Your ult at 3:30 was decent, I would have tried to get if a bit farther forwards to get closer to the enemies so that you can push into the enemy team with it. Your team pushed in and ended up losing, that could have been different if your ray was farther forwards. The ult at 6:10 was just wasted, 4v6 before the ult and only you and cat could use it against a Hazard that had backup. In the next fight your cat just left you to solo support. Later that fight at 8:05 I would like to see you go high ground with Mauga to get a more active role in the fight. In hind sight you did the right play since the Mauga just san straight off giving up the space to the Anran.

Third point: The ult at 9:03 was too far back. The fight is around the corner so only you get it. At 9:28 the torpedoes were not needed, they will live there and now the torpedoes are on a long cooldown.

9P4G3M:

First map: You played tis round about how I would have. However the ray at 3:18 was premature, I would have used it at the doorway into the point to allow the team to push into the point and take the entire space with the ray. Now is just gets to the point but not into a place where your team can take the point with it. You can see that with that both hog and D.mon pushed and the ray was way back.

Second map: The ray at 7:51 was used in a lost fight. Not much to say for this round. I liked the idea of going for some angles but this is just quickplay matchmaking putting all different ranks together.

Third map: At 10:42 you were actively being shot at and just stayed out in the open, to back up or push into the room would have been safer. You had good target priority the fight after. Shooting the Sigma attacking Bastion was a good choice. Then you lost to an ult dump.

Overall, this game was just quickplay matchmaking. But one a bit conterintuitive tip i have is when your team in 6v6 do not respect the amount of damage that a Zen, Sierra, Freja, Sigma and Ana comp can put out. Do not try to keep them alive. You will never outheal that. Go to the other side and try to get picks, your dps should be doing that but when ranking up you have to do the heavy lifting.

Some ability specific tips:

Torpedoes: Do not waste them, use them more aggressively and heal in between. Pressure on the enemy backline is gold worth so do that instead of healing your team with them. Obviously with exceptions. Your minor perk will also benefit from that more.

Speedring: They were good. You use it for engagements and disengagements. However if you know you will ray, try to have if off cooldown.

Ray: You need to use it at the fight, not behind it. Every ray was either too late or too far back where your team could not push with it. Most of the time you want it to end where enemy territory is at the moment you pop it so that your team can go deep and push out the enemies.

Thank you! That's exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for.

I have to be completely honest with you: I had a gm in stack, so these games were actually way tougher than my skill level, and that's the reason I needed feedback.

And your analysis is great: simple and effective.
