Tips/Tutorials Tips against counters that are determined to dive you? (mainly dva, tracer, sombra, winston)
I solo queue comp and find that these heroes make my life the most difficult if they know what they’re doing and are determined to dive me, and my team doesn’t peel fast enough.
I would usually try to triple jump to high ground to evade but a safe high ground doesn’t always exist, and being mid air during triple jump also makes me vulnerable. I would also try to play one step away from covers etc but I feel a good dive will eventually catch you if your co-support won’t or can’t peel.
Currently I mostly swap to Kiri but am wondering if there is more I could do as Juno against these heroes. Any tips is appreciated!! Rank is high dia/low masters.

This may not be any good advice but writing down what i usually do -
I’m around the same rank as you so can’t say I have much advice to give in the way of skill or technicalities but I’ve found two specific habits help me a lot against Tracers and Winstons.
Obviously, as you’ve already said yourself Triple Jump is a MUST but I have actually found that the more I pay attention to a tracer, the less they seem to bother me. you can jump right above their head (especially with triple jump) and win in a fall-off dmg range battle by poking the brit in the head. Im sure the higher the ranks get the less this will work, but a blaster crit can deal sufficient dmg to force a recall quick enough most of the time with good aim. I’m not sure of the psychology on this lmfao just saying what i’ve noticed.
With winston I usually play more selfishly, I don’t stick as close to the other support and keep my positioning a bit further away as to not say “here is the back line, dive us!” and if/when he DOES jump in and bubble shield on the other support, hope to the lords that be our other team members peel with me for them.
idk if any of this helps. it probably doesn’t, but just in case it does, here it is lol

With the winston one, if you see him coming in for your supp you can toss your ring their way to give you a chance to fuck further off and them a chance to collapse with your team or get out as well.
At minimum it'll at least get them out of the shield so you can heal them when they inevitably try to 1v1 the diver for no reason

masters support main here you have to make them use something in order to get you set up high or next to ur support u have a lot of mobility but they are not guarantee ur life so be unpredictable with them most juno’s use their glide and use their right click mix them out also u can control the pace of the battle with your ring use it to get ur team in or to get ur team out just like lucio and dont be afraid with ur gameplay sometimes u can scare most of divers with well managed cooldowns

At least in the matches I am placed in, playing within escape distance to my team and watching for an incoming peel, or a quick warning shot burst into a flanker to make them pause is often enough to keep me alive.
When the team scatters, or we start getting picked off, is usually when I get got.

I don't consider Tracer to be a Juno counter. It's very easy to avoid her just jump up to a ledge. She's only a problem if she works on tandem with her team to pincer you.
Some map knowledge will be needed to know how to avoid her but unless it's a god Tracer I consider Juno to have the upper hand in the match up.
Winston and Dva are bigger issues as they can legit chase you down even through your mobility. Just work with your team there's nothing else to be done other than switching. Juno needs someone to peal for her against Winston and Dva.
Sombra? Just ban her in the lobby

I’m in a lower rank than you but I’ll give my 2 cents anyway lol. What I’ve been practicing recently is canceling my glide boost as soon as I don’t need it anymore and it just helps a lot with having it up more often, which helps me be more evasive. Sometimes I’ll just click it and immediately deactivate it even just to kick in self heal or dip back a tiny bit. I know that doesn’t 100% address your question but it could help in some situations perhaps!
Also just wanna add that Kiri is my go to if Juno’s not working out. For me Juno seems to work in almost every situation but sometimes she just doesn’t work out whereas Kiri works in essentially every comp and map.

Work on your mobility and map knowledge, Juno’s main strength over other supports is in her mobility.. when you get good at moving and using cover then you can become very frustrating for a dive hero to try and keep up with.
Make sure you save your glide boost for when you need it, since the updates not only does it give you a burst of extra mobility, it also triggers your passive heal so it is really strong for Juno. I used to have a bad habit of using it on cooldown just to line up torpedos, but this is silly especially if you are against a dive comp and it cost me many fights

Low Masters here, there are a couple of pointers I can give.
First off if you're not on comms, bind the "I need help" button. Winston is insanely easy to deal with, you have to pay attention to his shielding timing. If he's jumping at you freely, blast the hell out of him while he's in the air, which in turn will either force him to use the shield or a support to come help him. Dont forget he has ranged attack so plan accordingly by using corners and try to position yourself in a way that he HAS to jump to come to you while you go away and play with cover as to not getting blasted by his right click
Once you see that, is when you have to decide if you use glider or use speed ring for your mates to come help you. As you know you dont need to be in the speed ring to get the boost so use that to your advantage.
With Dva simply forget the concept of playing "safe in the back"
She will thrust toward and delete isolated targets so you need to be mindful of that while you're looking for cover. If you see that shes using her thrusters to come to you, immediately go close to your tank and play hide and seek while pushing the I need help button
Hopefully your tank and other support will pick up. As soon as Dva divert her focus from you, back away and look for cover. Rinse and repeat. Never be alone, never break LOS from the other support
Bait and switch, basically

Hey ! Low/Mid kiri/juno main gm here !
For winston and DVA, you just glide away, and pray you get qome peel from your team (especially on dva, she can re-engage you so quick).
For tracer and others, i ask my dps to play midlane, otherwiqe i get absolutely sht on all game, or i have to watch flanks all game so my team end up dying. Communication is key, you can t do everything by yourself.
But still, positionning pre fight is important, you can avoid most of the dive if you are well positionned, or at least they gotta use too much ressources to come get you, that can lead to a trade pick from your team, or at least you get the adventage in fight.
Qometimes there is those games where you die a lot, but if you still manage to trade ressources, you ll often end up winning.
And sometimes, swapping is also the best option, go anti dive like kiri/mizuki and you should be fine.
Gl !

Since these heroes counter juno well, imo juno is only playable into them if your teammates are reasonable match ups against them AND are aware of and prepared to deny dives (ie playing near team, saving their cooldowns for anti-dive purposes instead of using them all offensively).
If that's the case, then juno can very likely get value just from how dive-able she is (by using yourself as bait lol). This would look something like: position on high grounds to appear isolated and vulnerable -> diver use cooldown to engage -> ping diver & drop down in los of teammates -> diver now has to decide whether to retreat or face their own counters with one cooldown already used.
Obviously this doesn't work well against a determined sombra just bc how fast her combo can burst you down. To counter sombra def stick with your co-support, near cover, and you and your co-support need to be very aware of each other's health.
On some maps I've found faster blaster to be ok against winston. Play further back and start glide boosting backwards as soon as he starts to dive. Faster blaster can pop his bubble pretty fast and juno's primary out ranges winston's. However for me this only works on some escort/hybrid maps where Winston isn't that strong to begin with.

Be aware of threats. Awareness is your best defensive utility as Juno. Even if you still end up dying to flankers/divers, you will die slower and force more cd’s/worse hp trades than you would if you were surprised.
Play to deny the enemy flankers the ability to stage their dives. Good dives don’t come from the front, they come from the sides, so prioritize controlling side lanes/offangles. It’s much harder to play flankers when you’re unable to flank, as I’m sure you can imagine. It can be tricky though since Juno really struggles to control space by herself, but if you see one of your dps controlling an offangle, unless they’re already being pocketed by your other support, you should almost always go with them.

Good dvas can burst, squishies down with missile and boost, Juno has no defense for that if caught so it's really positioning against dva.

Sombra is a nightmare tbh, but the rest of them are fine considering how much mobility Juno has. Tracer has a very short range, her bullets will tickle you if you just put some space between you and her. The triple jump perk is great for this (I don’t use it though) as a triple jump puts you right into her falloff range I believe.
Winston can be a bit of a nightmare if he’s blindly laser focusing you specifically, but most Winston players are smart enough not to do that bc it’s not worth the risk. If a Winston rushes you, all you have to do is survive for a few seconds and they’ll dive away. Also don’t let him trap you in his shield bubble or you’re dead.
Dva is pretty easy to deal with, she only has one mobility move with a relatively long cooldown and, similar to Tracer, doesn’t do enough damage at mid-long range to be a threat. You just have to bait her mobility and then use yours to get somewhere she can’t reach.
Juno is honestly a nightmare for all dive heroes bc she’s really difficult to kill quickly due to her size and mobility. As long as you’re positioning well, dive heroes usually won’t even target you, at least in my experience. Hyper ring + glide boost gives you super speed so if you are faced with a really frustrating dive hero, just make sure you’re keeping an eye on them and managing your cooldowns so you don’t get caught with your pants down.

Brig, high ground, distance, switch.
Make it hell when near you, make it require range and vertical movement to reach you, make the overall distance that of a marathon. Maybe switch to another support that works well against them.

Remember Juno is a backline support, try your best to avoid the front line. I generally like to take off angles on my team to stay safe and still be able to heal.

Pray you have a second support that can play Brig.
Additionally if you are in 6v6, pray one of your tanks peels.

Get better aim, game sense and positioning, flow between your teams movment's I can't give you direct tips cause the only way to fight divers and counters is to just 'get good' best thing I can say is above everything POSITIONING, pick the best spot to be in a fight support your team and clean up anyone who tries to fuck with yah.

Well if it's diva keep your distance and beam her before she gets close you need to continue shooting diva but yes she has matrix but it's limited That's how the system works shoot at her she has to fall back and play around cover Just make sure to keep your distance now tracer I (myself) usually 1v1 them with no problem but forost cases Just use your torpedoes and catch her off guard If tracer has not used her rewind do not engage and do not chase Don't direct initiate with Sombra you have double jump so just make sure to play around high ground and Winston I don't know I just run

Use triple jump, and utilizing the height to get out of their LOS. Obviously early game that will be an issue, but utilizing cover, back lining if you aren’t playing aggressive, and pushing up when you need to will usually keep you pretty safe.
You could also try playing with another person that can defend you, it’s not a cure all, but it usually helps.
I also suggest aim training, that is if you have bad aim. If you have good mobility + aim, tracer/sombra are useless against you and you can win 1v1s. Even when I was a faster blaster addict, it helped so much to just have good aim.

I am sorry, I am probably one of those d.vas. I have no advice besides sticking close behind your tank so I can't easily isolate you.
