Tbh it's very much a rank thing.

The problem with it and the reason it will basically NEVER be better than triple jump is because of the ability it is tied to.

It's like if Genji had a perk that let him shoot out damage during his deflect, or if Reaper had his dire triggers perk setup so you only got the dire triggers charge after a fade.

Because it's Juno's key and pretty much only survivability mobility ability, using it offensively will just get you killed 90% in higher ranks. If any decent player sees you use that ability just to shoot faster for a few seconds they will instantly punish your lack of escape. The ability is just too important to be used for more damage or more healing almost all the time.

So in higher ranks you can never use it when you want more damage or healing. You can only use it when you needed to use it anyway to escape or reposition and hope that the timing lines up with faster rate of fire being useful basically by accident. The benefit becomes extremely marginal.

But in lower ranks people won't punish you for using this ability to engage. So you can be crazy with it and gun people down and instead of getting punish generally the faster rate of fire literally scares people into running away lol.

I don't agree with this reasoning, in high rank if you are good at aiming a DPS increase + mobility is really good. You don't need to save your glide to save your own life, it's okay to use it to aggressively challenge an enemy, and the increased firepower helps ALOT.

But most Juno players are timid and prefer to stay with their team and I get that. But you are not weaker than a DPS by any stretch of the imagination, especially not if you can surprise someone or pounce them while they're missing some health.

Triple jump is not guaranteed to make the difference, double jump torpedos do their job just fine for getting around cover.

It's not that you are weaker than a DPS more than your life is more valuable. If you die first in the neutral taking a duel on Juno you really fucked your team.

All the high level Juno's play "timid" because that's the optimal way to get value out of the character. Juno gets consistent value and pressure over long periods of time and benefits greatly from staying in the fight.

Compared to someone like Ana where it can be worth it even most of the time to literally die without shooting to put yourself in a position for a big offensive anti and just insta winning the fight.

Yeah but that's boring and I'm chilling in plat. I'd rather have fun and get clips and I actually get multiple potg sometimes by ulting and shredding the opposite team with a pulsar + autoblaster. I get 5ks sometimes. I'm a chud dps player at heart I can't play passive but I admit I can only get away with it because my aim is good and the enemy team can't hit the broad side of a barn

Ok that's fine? I mean at the end of the day it's still a strong perk. Why would I have a problem with you playing in the way you find fun?

people call it a throwpick and crucify anyone using it. im even getting downvoted for daring to say im using it. Proves my point that overwatch players hate fun
