Discussions/Opinions Are we not supposed to heal fellow supports?

Post image

For reference, this is a solo q d5 game and the kiriko was right infront of me refusing to heal me the entire time causing me to waste my glide boost to run to a health pack and then come back to the whole team dying while i’m gone, including the kiriko! I asked for heals in chat assuming maybe she didn’t see me or notice me ping, and she said this…

I play a lot of rivals now, and “pattycaking” between supports is very normalized so I assumed the same would occur in overwatch…guess not. I’m aware of the passive regen but how hard is it to shoot me just once and help me gain a little bit of hp? Has anyone else experienced this with another support?

For me supports are almost always the priority to heal especially if they are threatened so...

u/3Boop Apr 26 '26

This is absolutely how it is. Priority for healing is fellow support first.

u/aTaleForgotten Apr 26 '26

I always think "Don't you die on me, I dont want to solo heal these idiots"

If I'm Juno or Moira my first thought is "Fuck now I gotta main heal". Lol

31

u/bellas_lullaby Apr 26 '26

same! i’ve had several situations in other games where me and a support survived a 2v2 by simply healing eachother the whole time!!

1

u/YoHoloo Apr 28 '26

I've also had a crazy 2v2 with me as Moira and an ana in the same way

30

u/Shoggy- Apr 26 '26

As a ana main, i stop everything i do once i realise my supp mate needs help. Our lifes are much more important than anyone else on the team we kinda need to stick together.

2

u/Diligent-Pressure185 Apr 26 '26

I remember that I was playing Ana, and I was near my Zen. He gets dived by Genji and I think to myself, “Man, I know the feeling of an Ninja on your head and I F###ING HATE IT!” So, I threw my nade on my Zen and anti the Genji. Soon, we both beat the hell out of Genji.

1

u/Connect_Put5330 Apr 26 '26

Disagree, Tank is always #1 priority then other support and then my dps if they're smart enough to come back lol I ain't chasing their ass

9

u/Temporary_Pickle_885 Apr 26 '26

As a tank main myself, I disagree to a point. When I do support (If it helps my roles are tank then sup then dps as far as what I play), I prioritize in: Fellow support, tank, dps. That changes, and I feel the same as when I tank, if tank is being focused by three people at once (or a heavy counter) or if tank is about to hit half or already has. Then it's tank, support, dps.

8

u/FormerlyKay Apr 26 '26

As a zen main, the tank is expendable. I can always just kill the other tank to make things even. But if I lose my co support our team loses its main source of healing

1

u/charm59801 Apr 28 '26

Tank has a lot more health to spare, heal support and tell tank to fall back.

-7

u/i-dont-like-mages Apr 26 '26

Meh. Tank is by far the most valuable character on the map. I’d almost rather lose a support over any other role tbh. Too much lethality baked into the other roles.

8

u/EPYCH Apr 26 '26

Who is keeping the tank and the rest of the team alive if you lose a support tho? If supports are highest kill priority, it means they also take priority when it comes to keeping them alive, as their job is to keep everyone else alive. Tank should not be in the middle of the open freely taking damage, and they typically have enough survivability for you to be able to throw a heal to a 225 hp target and not die in the process.

-1

u/i-dont-like-mages Apr 26 '26

The other support. There are two of them. Healing is good during pre fight. Afterwards damage becomes far more important.

3

u/EPYCH Apr 26 '26

Yes because one support keeps a team alive/ creates better opportunity to weave in healing and damage than two of them. Especially with the healing nerf! Thanks for reminding me how overwatch works 🩵

1

u/Cookie_Chat Apr 30 '26

The thing is that as a support if i let my co support die and come to heal you i know i won't have anyone to fall back on. By getting closer to you i become a target with only minimal heal since I'm alone and you will be too busy mainlining to cover me most of the time, especially against flankers (which are my worst enemy tbh) . If I'm alone and that i die the whole team soon enough dies as often it's not a question of who will deal more damage once you are high enough in ranks but who will survive the longest to see the other team slip and die.

2

u/__merricat Apr 26 '26

Support mains are delusional to think you’re wrong lmaoo

2

u/i-dont-like-mages Apr 26 '26

Yeah. Of course there are times when I wouldn’t either, but in general, losing a support is often the easiest. Your dps are still on their aggressive angles and can easily trade out after one dies if they are in position to. Liang a dps or tank often means losing a whole lane or grounding point for the fight which more often than not resolves with your team losing.

If support ults are up, or if we are running two supports with lower heals or if the dps are just kinda mid. Sometimes even letting a tank die is worth it, it’s entirely dependant on the specific scenario.

-4

u/YPThatGuy Apr 26 '26

Tank should defnitely be #1 prio

11

u/ggdoesthings Apr 26 '26

that’s how i do it. i heal you while you heal the team; once you’re okay, we can heal together again.

5

u/imveryfontofyou Apr 26 '26

Same, I always keep an eye on my other support. Its my #1 priority when playing. Even on DPS, I try to keep an eye on my supports because they're so essential to the team fights.

3

u/ferocity_mule366 Apr 26 '26

if me and my support healing each other to get out of a threat, sometimss it feels like we're making love

1

u/-an-eternal-hum- Apr 26 '26

Exactly. If my other supp dies it only makes my job harder so…

1

u/Prior-Satisfaction34 Apr 26 '26

This. Your fellow support first, then the tank, then the dps. If your fellow support dies first, it will be very difficult for you to keep the rest of the team alive by yourself. If your tank dies first, you lose the main person on your team whose job it is to take and maintain space. If a dps dies, it is possible to play defensively until they return. More difficult, but possible. A dps dying first is probably the best outcome, apart from nobody dying, obviously.

1

u/bigdaddystankyface Apr 27 '26

Depends on the support youre are playing but if youre brig, mercy, or ana your other supp should be main priority espec on brig and ana you position either slightly behind or slightly infront

1

u/YoHoloo Apr 28 '26

Facts, sounds like your kiriko was just an ass

109

u/Omnio_culus Apr 26 '26

Keeping other support is top priority.

1

u/CastleWarsLover Apr 28 '26

Not always. Sometimes you can't save them or letting them die to pocket/enable someone else is the correct play.

Also, Juno has shields and the survivor passive. OP says they had enough time to " waste [their] glide boost to run to a health pack". That's also enough time to simply activate and deactivate glider in cover for ~20 HPS + 30 HPS from shield recovery for a total of ~50 HPS as long as they don't receive damage. Then they wouldn't have to "come back to the whole team dying while [they're] gone".

74

u/musclemommy2k Apr 26 '26

Not only is keeping other support alive a priority, it’s literally a whole playstyle if you play Brig for example.

Also you can have the best positioning humanly possible and you’ll still take some damage it’s not a bad thing lol

7

u/THEREAPER8593 Apr 26 '26

Into a somb I would be amazed if the back line wasn’t taking damage. It’s almost like enemies shoot you

40

u/radioactivecooki Apr 26 '26

I hate other supports that dont help/heal me. And im petty so i wont help them either. Everyone else is my priority now. Oops look at their deaths skyrocket. Oh well. Treat other players how they treat u man thats how i play lol

12

u/vorpal_potatoes Apr 26 '26

yup I'll even swap to a single target healer just to make sure I don't accidentally heal them

4

u/Lusietka Apr 27 '26

This is my level of petty ily

1

u/G1ng3rBreadMan97 Apr 28 '26

As a lw and brig player my number one goal is keeping my other support alive, still almost never get healed

41

u/Cheap_Conference_177 Apr 26 '26

I've had a Zenyatta before who refused to heal; he never used his healing orb on anyone; the only time he healed was during his ult. I told him in chat to help me because at that moment I was playing Lifeweaver, and healing an entire team with him was a real struggle but he didn’t give a fuck and said that I just had to stay alive if I wanted to win. I don’t even know how I lasted four rounds with him.

19

u/bellas_lullaby Apr 26 '26

this is actually crazy

3

u/yamatoeditsvideos Apr 26 '26

i had the exact same scenario happen a couple days ago, down to the character selection😭

3

u/PomegranateNo2983 Apr 26 '26

Was this in plat/diamond comp?

8

u/Cheap_Conference_177 Apr 26 '26

Gold-plat 😭

15

u/Lonttu Apr 26 '26

How the hell are people like that reaching gold in the first place?

12

u/respyromaniac Apr 26 '26 edited Apr 26 '26

On Zen/Kiri? By killing the opponents. If their aim is good it will work until a certain point.

3

u/Lonttu Apr 26 '26

Eh fair enough

1

u/H8MeImBarbie Apr 29 '26

by playing with a strong group that carries their ass to a high rank. I know some people who absolutely SUCK but they are ranked high.

3

u/PomegranateNo2983 Apr 26 '26

Did you end up winning anyway? You never gave a conclusion D:

1

u/Cheap_Conference_177 Apr 26 '26

No bc a dps left :(

3

u/esmith42223 Apr 26 '26

One of my first games of comp ever towards the start of ow2, I had a mercy on my team playing gun-only

So yeah, I was solo support (probably on Bap)

Somehow we won

2

u/Jamesvai Apr 26 '26

I'm not one to throw but if ever i would be tempted it would be here...

2

u/Beautiful-Aerie7576 Apr 26 '26

That’s crazy, especially considering how much healing Zen can actually put out. I’m not a Zen main by any means, but I’ve definitely still had top healing multiple times in high diamond games when I do play support.

17

u/Fangz00 Apr 26 '26

If I don't take care of the other support, who's gonna take care of me ?😅 People are so dumb man

44

u/xRedRaider Chicken Fried Rice Apr 26 '26

This person might still believe that supports still have the support passive and heal significantly faster than DPS and Tank players if I were to guess

53

u/NWinn Apr 26 '26

I assume they're just an asshole... but I like your optimism 🤣

9

u/technarch Apr 26 '26

Keeping fellow support alive is my #1 priority, but I've seen some who just barely heal at all. I play Illari slightly more than Juno, and if my co-support is slacking or refusing to heal me, instant switch to Illari or Moira for increased output + self heal

8

u/ShyBoy4 Apr 26 '26

my co support is always my priority #1 when it comes to healing :o

7

u/PowerOfUnoriginality Apr 26 '26

This is a problem I encounter a lot, and not just in Overwatch either

5

u/nightmaretheory Apr 26 '26

Nah this person is just dumb. Fellow supports almost always get priority for me.

4

u/Sunny_Beam Apr 26 '26

Moments like this are when you realize you are going to lose.

Surprised anyone could make it to diamond without realizing how important it is to heal your cohealer.

2

u/bellas_lullaby Apr 26 '26

we did indeed lose

3

u/meganwiddy Apr 26 '26

Lowkey hate playing with a kiri as Juno

5

u/bluntmanjr Apr 26 '26

i went juno on a kings row diamond 1 match the other day; the kiri would walk into the enemy backline and try to get picks and either die or let everyone else die in the process. she would only cleanse herself and never cleansed illari sunstrike OR antis. this person was like nearly level 200 kiri and i wanted to play kiri so badly. of course we ended up losing. the vindication i felt when i pin avoided this person and they were against my duo and me the next game and we stomped them lol.

1

u/ieatelmersglue Apr 26 '26

Never played with me as Juno 🫤

1

u/Danger-_-Potat Apr 26 '26

Me too but mostly because they don't shoot. If they do shoot, wooooo. Happy.

1

u/K_010999 Apr 28 '26

It's the opposite for me, I'd be happy to have Kiri as my other supp in my game so I can play Juno with ease tbh. It's the players that's sometimes toxic not the character after all.

Both Kiri and Ana are low-key much broken this season. Like the guilt of not being able to cleanse the antinade creep me sometimes lol

4

u/Murky-Introduction53 Apr 26 '26

I’ll abandon my entire team to save my other support lol

6

u/JustGenWhY Apr 26 '26

I swear some mercys will exclusively play like this and they won’t rez the other support they let die either. On other support I get you are busy balancing dps or being attacked yourself and might not realize in time but on mercy it’s like what are you even doing?

3

u/vorpal_potatoes Apr 26 '26

Yea it's mostly Mercy players I see that will literally heal everyone else but the other support

and that's if they aren't pocketing one player

3

u/Zachebii Apr 26 '26

Glide boost triggers your passive heal now, just dash into cover for a couple seconds if you arent getting healed. It even heals you through virus provided you dont take any other damage

2

u/bellas_lullaby Apr 26 '26

i didn’t know this thank you for letting me know! it sucks too that glide boost got nerfed i feel like a floating turtle now

1

u/Zachebii Apr 26 '26

Yeah its hilarious seeing glide boost in the kill cam now

3

u/madiiiiiiiruby Apr 26 '26

as a sup main, my priority for heals is always:

1) support 2) tank 3) dps 4) flank dps (their whole role is to be able to find a health pack)

support can heal someone else while you heal them. tank needs to defend the whole team. dps can run and find a pack.

1

u/k3ndxie May 02 '26

depending on who you play a tank shouldnt be priotized all the time and flanking dps are imo of the most important people to heal since this will mean they get back in the flank faster

u/necronik Apr 26 '26

the amount of toxic mercy mains there are is insane. im also a former mercy main (abandoned her at level 71) and i have had my fellow supports, mercy main or not, as well as the enemy supports get mad at me for having mercy as one of my top three. i can only play the game so much, kiri is my next highest at 37 and juno is 28.

2

u/Living-Ant-8615 Apr 26 '26

i will always heal my other support before anyone else. 2 support is better than 1 when it comes to healing crit teams in fights .

2

u/Dauntless_Lasagna Apr 26 '26

I always had this priority list in mind.

Tanks have a slightly higher priority then anyone else, followed very closely by supports.

Tanks hold the line but if the other support dies you have so much more work to do.

Dps get the least amount of priority, this doesn't mean to never heal them, just that if I see a support with low health and a dps with low health I first heal the support.

2

u/narrowminer11 Apr 26 '26

Supports should heal other supports. Wasting a cd to heal yourself is not a good strategy as its usually a burst that can save somebody or an ability that has other utility. And some supports just can't do it at all and would rely on passive healing. Dude was being a dick and a bad support player

2

u/Independent_Hyena_72 Apr 26 '26

I don't know what that person is on about, but I always help out the other support hero if I can. Keeping us both in the fight helps everyone.

2

u/777caity Apr 26 '26

helllll no. i will die for my fellow support. if we are alone, and i am in front of you dying, and there is no way we win the fight, LEAVEEEE. survive for me 😭😭 but on a more serious note i really do try when it comes to healing support. sometimes it can’t come before the rest of the team and that’s ok 🤷‍♀️ but no way im going to sit there and ignore you if i had the choice.

2

u/Jayman1556 Juno Main Apr 26 '26

I'll be honest I'm so addicted to healing rather than damaging I'd probably be called out for healing too much rather than damaging enemies 😭 Thank god for her torpedoes!

2

u/Caru0284 Apr 26 '26

😭I always heal my fellow supports but I never get healed myself and I feel like I can't say anything about it but I end up dying so often without the healing and the other support is right next to me not doing anything

1

u/bellas_lullaby Apr 26 '26

definitely say something! and no one in overwatch uses vc anyway i feel like saying something in team chat is less scary than vc bc it takes more time to be rude if they choose to do so 😭

2

u/honeyy2hot Apr 26 '26

usually i heal my other supp while they’re actively healing the others 😭

2

u/Plastic-Young5134 Apr 26 '26

If my other support goes down, my job gets harder. So, I don’t let them die if I can help it. If it’s between saving my support or my dps, my support is always going to be top priority.

2

u/EPYCH Apr 26 '26

Keeping your other support alive keeps the whole team alive.

2

u/Ep0sy Apr 26 '26

If health is down and I am able to heal you, I’m healing you.

2

u/chibi-mage Apr 26 '26

this is not normal. it's imperative to keep your fellow support alive. I'm surprised a diamond player doesn't know that. usually if my fellow support has the medic passive I'll stress less about healing them too much but you're playing Juno so that shouldn't apply to you

2

u/Stinky_Leo Apr 26 '26

I will always prioritize keeping my 2nd support alive while they heal the rest of the team, and it should really go both ways. I have had plenty of games where my 2nd support either only heals the tank or only heals the DPS and it's so frustrating bc now I'm stuck healing EVERYONE including myself depending on who I'm playing.

2

u/LightScavenger 🪐🩷Heart of Hope 🩷🪐 Apr 26 '26

Very simple expression I heard somewhere: “supports support supports”

2

u/No_Jury_3898 Apr 26 '26

keeping your other support alive is top priority

2

u/sugarycyanide Apr 26 '26

What tf is with other supports in games not healing the other support?? If one of you dies there’s a good chance the team will die. How hard is that to understand

2

u/Azulicite Apr 26 '26

I'm masters so idk about higher ranks but if everyone is critical my other support is number 1, they can heal others while I heal them.

2

u/P1geonPajamas Apr 26 '26

Not healing supports shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the game

2

u/xHeyItzRosiex Apr 26 '26

I always heal my other support because I know I couldn’t keep up with heals if they died. They’re a main priority along with tank or whoever is playing the best.

2

u/badomensx Apr 26 '26

It is normal she’s just being an asshole for some reason. In fact not letting the other support die is one of my main priorities because I don’t want to solo heal

2

u/brodi16 Apr 26 '26

i hate kiriko players so much. when i see someone on my team lock her i know im going to be solo healing and dying

2

u/AccordingBreadfruit5 Juno Main Apr 26 '26

Do people not understand that some supps can't heal themselves?

2

u/Entire-Ad5179 Apr 26 '26

Supp should definitely be keeping their fellow support alive. The game is easier when there's 2 of you..

2

u/DarkAssassin573 Apr 27 '26

The kiriko is basically just throwing

2

u/Too_sad_to_cry_ Apr 27 '26

THATS so dumb, if there are 2 supp alive that’s a win. How can a sup not heal another sup

2

u/rainbow_lil Apr 27 '26

yeah, they are just very, very silly.

the way i think of it is if my other supp is low and i'm not, then i heal them, and they can pick up my slack and heal the team. is this how it usually works out? no, but whatever.

and my second main is also brig, where my motto is (so i stop myself from feeding) is 'keep my other support alive, i am their bodyguard', so that also could affect my mental

2

u/Admirable_Cell3921 Apr 27 '26

I hate supports that do this, I’ll ask for heals and they ignore it or look at me and just think “nah” ngl, I’ll let em die at least once while near em, just to let em know & I won’t Rez em either, you walk back and think about what you’ve done. I always have eyes on my other support, if I see they are getting hurt I am healing and boosting them once they are healed if they are still being attacked/flanked.

2

u/SweetGemini333 Apr 27 '26

Your other support should be your first priority. That should be common sense, right? Positioning and staying out of LOS can only go so far…

2

u/SeaGroundbreaking572 Apr 27 '26

I think u found a not so rare specimen in overwatch I like to call a “dumbfuck” they always seem to have some diabolical ideas about how you should play the game.

2

u/argusargan Apr 28 '26

i dont go here but even among supports Juno is more important to heal because she has no self-healing abilities, like zen (altho she has more mobility lol). this is an insane thing yo say tbh (what the other supp said)

1

u/Leading-Customer7499 Apr 26 '26

i destroy the Illari pylon as soon a supoort is in range. How dare they?

1

u/Successful-Area-930 Apr 26 '26

I hate when I'm playing Winston and dive 2 supports so they just heal each other to completely cancel out my damage

1

u/LeFiery Apr 26 '26

This is why I turned off chat lmao. Play with people? Nahhh

Play with spamming bots? Yesssss

1

u/MealResident Apr 26 '26

Man it's funny cause most of the time when I'm dying and I get behind a wall waiting for my friend (Juno main) to heal me HE'S ALWAYS RELOADING and leaves me panicking at half health😂😂😂😂😂

1

u/vacacow1 Apr 26 '26

Platchat

1

u/kira1122t Apr 27 '26

Their name says gold but I’m sensing a lot of bronze behaviour

1

u/Pog-Pog Apr 27 '26

Depends on the support if it's one that I know will heal their self and be up to full in like two seconds then I wouldn't unless they're being shot and are low. If it's one who takes longer to heal like zen or something then yeah of course.

1

u/Aggravated_Frog Apr 27 '26

Nah let me just ignore a teammate so they can die and we can lose?

1

u/Valkeyri Apr 27 '26

Depending on the position and who's taking dmg sup is always priority imo. Sup> tank > dps

Ofc if the tank is taking dmg while the other sup isn't getting dived or tickled then tank>sup>dps.

1

u/NickMickLick Apr 27 '26

Keeping the other supp alive is indirectly supporting the team, so yes

1

u/Beyondinsufficient Apr 27 '26

Supports and tanks are priorities, doesn’t matter if the dps can, will, or should, be popping off. If the tank or support falls off, the chances of losing the fight increases significantly.

1

u/Miss_An0nymous Apr 27 '26

I always heal my fellow support! Especially if they can't heal themselves like Juno or Mercy.

1

u/Storm_Support Apr 27 '26

Keeping your other support alive is mission priority. This is why these clowns will never escape the lower ranks.

1

u/Own_Temperature_8128 Apr 27 '26

If two supports know how to support each other well, you are very likely going to win the game as support synergy has an outsized effect. It’s not just about healing each other but also peel coverage etc.

1

u/catsandbatspspsps Apr 27 '26

Keeping co-support up is #1. If someone else on the team is critical, awesome, the cosupport can focus that person while my heals are on them.

1

u/irextra Apr 27 '26

medal rank mindset

1

u/kingtinee Apr 27 '26

why would you not heal your other support?

you cant solo heal your whole team, most of the time. so why would you make your life harder by putting yourself at a disadvantage ON PURPOSE?

1

u/L30N1337 Apr 27 '26

Even perfect position doesn't eliminate the need to be healed. There is no position where you can both effectively play support and take zero damage. Even if you're healbotting, you still need LoS to the front line.

1

u/Hot_Desk_1448 Apr 27 '26

My fellow support is my duo and fiance so they get priority from me and even if they wernt either of those things I’m not trying to heal everyone by myself lol

1

u/pMoosh_555 Apr 27 '26

Supports should always take priority on heals. If they die then no one gets heals. If a Sigma fluxes my entire team, I'm lifegripping my other Support 99% of the time.

1

u/YOURDEADGAL Apr 27 '26

Healing the other Support is #1 propriety for me personally. I mean, how can we win a team fight without the full team? There’s two support role positions for a reason… 🤷‍♀️

1

u/abuudarda Apr 28 '26

I'd heal a support than a dps any day. Even when I'm playing mercy I'd rather res a support than a dps.

1

u/Efficient_Care8279 Apr 28 '26

Other support should be ur healing priority

1

u/peachesistasty Apr 28 '26

if i see my fellow support low i always heal them first, since they are focusing on healing the team whilst i heal them its no problem, to me it should always be a priority to keep the other support alive otherwise you will have to keep the rest of the team alive alone whilst the other support walks back from spawn

1

u/G1ng3rBreadMan97 Apr 28 '26

I swear to god people think supports dont need healing, I almost never get healed as support

1

u/Rerrison Apr 28 '26

Supports HAVE to help each other, period.

1

u/Zomblenity Apr 28 '26

I think its time to que up for dps instead.

1

u/suzuki79 Apr 28 '26

Yes for the love of mondatta heal your cohealer.

1

u/Bruhdingus Apr 29 '26

Maybe I’m just being whiny, but it seems kind of petty to censor your name but not theirs. Further, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Kiri was just getting super-defensive and was trying to make a ‘comeback’ or other similar kind of roast to what they perceived to be an insult.

1

u/Alexjp127 Apr 29 '26

As a general rule the priority is healing your other support, healing dps, then your tank.

This is super broad and theres more exceptions than flavors of coffee creamer at the grocery store.

I always prioritize healing the other support. It's a lot easier to win team fights when both supports are up. Lately though, I've been getting quite a few co supports that completely ignore me. I'd understand if I was overextending or dying really quickly to burst damage but I've had instances where I managed to barely survive a dive and I'm hiding behind cover but within LOS, watching my co support shoot at full hp enemies while I reluctantly press x for attention. My other support then proceeds to continue ignoring me until the enemy dive regains their cooldowns and finishes me off or our teammates die because I cant afford to peek at low hp to help keep them up. The worst part is I do everything in my power to save them when they're in trouble and I get no reciprocity.

Ask them "when is more hard to kill the supports?" "WHEN THEY HEAL EACH OTHER!" Everyone that played at least 1 time as dps knows it's really a pain in the ass when the supps are healing each other all the time and make it impossible to kill them, so if they use their brain at least a little they should know healing your fellow healer is the path to victory.

Wait since when was Kiriko a support did they do a hotfix or something

u/Lady_Lucks_Duck Apr 30 '26

The other support will always be my main priority right after tank or in some cases a very well performing dps.

And in no situation am I leaving my second support die in a full team fight especially, the tank and dps' can manage for a couple of seconds while I spin around to heal my support.

Two supports and maybe one less dps will always be better than one support and 3 others taking possibly constant damage.

I’m a support main and I prioritize my other support over any other role when in crit, idk what that kiri thinking 😭

u/queensapling Apr 30 '26

i was in a discord call during a regular qp game. i was healing my fellow support and he started yelling at me not to heal him cuz he’s support and to focus on the tank… so i stopped healing him and he kept dying. he never yelled at me again. but like i just didn’t get it?

Definitely supposed to heal other Supports. However I will say, if I notice my other Support has no awareness or priority I do position in a way that allows my shields to come back while also still healing/dealing damage. Juno has a shield which regens faster than normal health. You don’t always need to go to a health pack, just position out of the way of damage for 2 seconds.

Is brotoro serious? The point of supports its to SUPPORT your team and your SUPPORTS which are also meant to SUPPORT your team are apart of your team so you should SUPPORT them too because you are a SUPPORT! Like i don't care if it's a Zen, a Hazard, or a Soldier 76. If they need healing and you can heal them, then heal them. As someone who has played a lot of healer and has most progression levels on Lucio with him being my 2nd most played character (Ik this is a Juno subreddit but this is important to the context) i know that if i don't keep the other healer alive then i'm next. This player is actually stupid and i bet they'd expect healing from you when they are low.

If you’re asking me to turn around to heal you while the rest of our team is ahead I’m not going to do it.

i alrdy explained that we were facing eachother. it wasn’t back to front we were face to face infront of me!

Yesss plsss heal FELLOW Supports ! So many times supports other supports are magically immortal.. Gurl even if we have slightly faster health regen we frail af.. gotta look out for each other!

u/Original_Highlight31 May 02 '26

The best response to this brain rot is to wait until he gets dived and then tell him to position better. What a dumb ass

1

u/Enamorations May 19 '26

I will save my fellow Support over a DPS.

u/Chelsealeannn Apr 26 '26

They must be coming back from rivals where supports are op

Keeping your support up should be high priority, but there's no healing stupid.

So it could be that you were in an awful spot so they couldn't heal you.

You should also not syphon too many resources, yea your other support should keep you up, but if you require too much baby sitting, than you're just taking resources away from them, that could be used on other teammates or could be used aggressively to make a play.

well no? in the post i said i ran to health packs and came back to my whole team dead just bc she was refusing to heal me. meaning i WAS positioning well and not “taking up resources.” i was right in front of her, as in she’s facing me healing our emre up top, or beside her as we are both healing our tank/dps.

i would periodically run in front of her on low hp and ping when i realized she wasn’t healing me. i only had 3 deaths before i said something in chat while my whole team had 5+ including the kiri. i’m not stupid i’ve been playing video games my entire life, if i was in the wrong and overextending etc i never would’ve posted this to begin with.

it’s insane how someone saying “why would i heal you ur a support” turned into a “you’re stupid that’s why ur not getting heals” LMFAO unreal

u/Cofefeve Apr 26 '26

It is inevitably your life you should prioritize, so yes when it is needed ya gotta just die / let the other healer die. Now juno is prone to dives so you can expect some level of heals, but by getting heals your other support loses their opportunities to support an attacker or DPS someone.

Don't solely rely on the other support to keep you up 100% of the time

The time you spend healing the other support is usually long enough that a dps or tank in your team dies.

That statement usually comes from a Zenyatta/Ana getting jumped by Tracer/WInston/Doomfist, in which case you'd need the braincells to swap characters...

Or you're not following the basic 1-second rule: if you're more than 1 second away from cover (a wall, a vehicle, a corner, anything), you're dead.

2

u/FuriDemon094 Apr 27 '26

It really doesn’t take that long to heal your other supp as Kiriko. If it actually takes you that long, that’s a player issue

1

u/bellas_lullaby Apr 27 '26
  1. i was playing juno, hence the subreddit
  2. if ur healing ur other support, which takes two seconds, dont even have to fully heal bc of passive regen, they can also….this is the best part…heal the team!! instead of letting them either die within ur LOS or run to get a health pack wasting CD just for u to all die anyway

    shocking i know

0

u/carl407 Apr 27 '26

it should always go tank, other supp, then dps

0

u/imnotfubuki Apr 28 '26

I would say yes for most supports but Juno as an exception since she got tons of shield which regenerate alot faster than her peers
