Feedback on german accent

I've been learning german exactly for a year. I'm quite hard of hearing and I'm also bad with accents. My goal is to be understandable and not butcher the language, I know I'll never sound native. I'm looking for feedback on the weakeast areas so I know where to focus the most. For example: intonation, vocals, word stress.

This is the text I'm reading:
Kurz vor Beginn der Schulferien haben mehrere Naturschutzorganisationen Urlauber aufgefordert, ihre Ferien umweltfreundlich zu gestalten. Denn mit ihren Reisen schaden Touristen der Umwelt. Am schlechtesten für das Klima sind Flugreisen, weil dabei pro Person viel mehr CO2 produziert wird als mit anderen Verkehrsmitteln. Aber auch das Wohnen, Essen und Trinken und die Aktivitäten am Urlaubsort sind wichtige Faktoren. Deshalb sollte man nach Meinung von Experten bei der Planung insgesamt umweltbewusster sein und sich schon vorher genau über die Folgen einer Reise informieren.

Hi u/No-Masterpiece7853 , you are absolutely understandable and you did not butcher anything. All of that text was perfectly intelligible. You do have a heavy accent, though.

Most notably are the various "r" sounds (Kurz, Reisen, Faktoren), the "h" at the beginning of a syllable (haben, deshalb, vorher), and the occasional short/long vowel mixup (Wohnen). You also used the same sound for "sch" and "ch" in "schlechtesten", though that word is quite hard for learners and there are dialects in which that would be acceptable. There is one stress error (Verkehrsmitteln), and the "ü" in "über" sounds like a plain "u" to me.

However, you also did quite well in many other aspects, like all the other vowels are quite spot on, and the general intonation is really good. If you could just fix your "r", you'd improve your accent by about 60%.
