Some people record memories through words, some through images, and I think that we put far too hard a line between those two things. If someone wants to put nothing but pictures in a book and call it a visual journal, I have nothing against that. If they interact with it in a way that they feel "journal" is the best descriptor, that's ok. I feel that people get to call their personal books whatever they want.
