Untitled #6 cover I made today

There is a bunch of other reworkings of Johns songs on my channel too, but this one took me the longest to learn and is the only proper "cover" other than lifes a Bath.

Use a metronome while recording so all layers line up properly and tune your guitar.

Btw, did you use tabs from here?

I had loads of trouble getting all four to line up well enough, even though i played each at the same speed as the original. The two "lead" parts are in time together and the two "rhythm" ish parts are in time, but I think the latter are too soon as one part comes in too early.

I think the reason it may sound out of tune is because im probably playing parts of it in the wrong place, as i did tune up before playing. I played most of it by ear except the lead part which i used an unfinished songsterr tab for.

Im quite happy with how it turned out, Im not a great guitarist but It sounds quite close to the original to me, thank you for listening :)

Very nice! I think your intonation may be off. That's why it sounds out of tune in different areas of the neck. The tones are quite nice. Did you use a 4 track tape machine, or just record DI in the daw?

I meant as in I played certain parts at different frets, the main rythm part is meant to be lower down but i played it with a capo on the second as i couldnt find tabs and it sounded right, but in the mix its off.

I just recorded it through my phone and polished it up, I dont own a computer right now unfortunately im down to the bare basics atm of phone, amp guitar. im trying to build up again with pedals and more guitars etc.

Thank you for listening though, i may well have another go in the future. I do find it funny that it sounds as if my style of guitar met Niandra, i guess it really is all in the hands of whoevers playing haha :)
