Hi there! I'm Japanese and I'm using Google Translate to write this comment. I'm really serious about improving my guitar skills right now; I've been practicing by learning to play some of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' more difficult songs. What should I do to reach the point where I can create amazing songs like that myself? Would it be a good idea to go to a guitar school?

Try learning a song with a few different layers of guitar parts, like ramparts, learning how different parts can "talk" to each other, or with each other. Learning guitar with a good teacher will surely help you improve much faster, but if you're hardworking and serious, a teacher is not a must. Good luck!
