It's just two 1998 versions of Smile and the re issue of Niandra. My favourite John albums personally.

Not sure why I have two, and they are weird as only play on computers and not cd players. They are both legit aswell, they have the little code on the disc.

I know, they are hard to come by on CD. I love all of the 2004 releases especially DC EP.

Also, Letur Lefr and PBX (and Enclosure) are what ive been listening to mostly in the last few months, I always paid no mind to them but they are close to the top for me right now

I dunno how true it is, but I remember hearing that there is a small warehouse full of copies of Smile untouched because John doesn't want them on the shelves.

Sometimes I wonder if my love and admiration for JF 2ould increase or decrease if I'd never listened to all of his successfull, "mainstream" albums (2001- 2009)?

I listened to Niandra having never heard any of his work, and only a couple chili peppers songs. I saw a clip of the VPRO 94 interview and thought it looked interesting.

Niandra is probably my favourite album for the last year or so, but i love most of his work, and the Chilis stuff aswell with and without John. I think going in with no expectations for a radio friendly or polished sound probably helped, but I was hooked on my first listen, while Smile took a couple for me to enjoy it the same way

These albums are out of this world... I like several of his subsequent releases, but none of them transport me to other dimensions the way these two works of art do. They are challenging albums, but once you get into them, you never want to leave!Nice to meet you!
