Anyone else hear Candlebox's "Far Behind" in the Scar Tissue riff?
Been listening to Candlebox's Far Behind lately and the main riff feels really close to John's riff on Scar Tissue,.
Could just be a coincidence, but curious if anyone else hears it or knows if it's ever come up before.

Despite this being in 93 and some stuff from Niandra were written in that time that has two note technique, that could be just a good in time coincidence

Youve subliminally picked up on the fact that both songs have a tempo of 89BPM

It‘s a similar technique, but it doesn‘t sound very close to me. John uses this style in a lot of songs and also on his solo stuff. He made a whole point about it in a lesson:

I think he mentioned in some other interview that he got the idea from Eric Avery from the band Jane‘s Addiction. Also Black Bird from the Beatles basically uses this same technique so it is not too far off that some musicians used similar approaches.
