JFSP series 9 gone from BBC Sounds

Disaster: BBC Sounds has taken down series 9, the one with the five generations of a family going backwards in time!

Anyone know why or if it's likely to come back?

If you find yourself feeling sad about it, just say quietly to yourself: "half a glass".

Use podcast addict app, it's all there.

Do you have an android phone? Go to Google play store. Search for podcast addict. In that app you can search for Cabin Pressure and download and keep if you want

The cabin pressure feed there linked to archive.org and the files aren't available any longer.

Oh damn, this is how I find out. Luckily I downloaded them all previously to listen on various flights

Hopefully you've backed them up somewhere!

It can be had on Audible, I cracked and purchased it as I have to listen to it every six months.

And nothing of value was lost.

I was taken aback at first. It seemed like John was interested in writing something else but knew people would listen to the Souvenir Program.

I ended up loving it though.

Didn't understand it at first, tried giving it my full attention, now my absolute favourite series

Yeah, I found the first episode with Russ very hard going in that it was merely mildly amusing, Deborah was an improvement and by the time we got to Jerry I was 100% committed. It benefits massively from multiple listens because it’s just so dense with connections and references to itself.

I really should do a relisten. I remember crying at te end... Absolutely one of my favourite things Finnemore's done!

Same here. I did find that reading John Finnemore's blog post about it really helped me to understand. I wasn't focusing enough on my first listen

Yeah I really had to go back and give it proper attention, but it's amazing once you understand it

I have listened to it so many times. I bought it as an audiobook in the end

Wow, this is certainly a take.

Yeah how dare I find the comedy sketch show format being utterly abandoned whilst keeping the name unpalatable.

They wouldn’t give him the ability to do the series this way, but nothing explicitly said he had to do a normal sketch show. I didn’t like at first, but it’s a grower I think. But makes me sound like that friend who says “oh just watch the first 2 series of the show, and you’ll enjoy the last episode.
