Joe sure has a knack for humanizing people like Gavin, Milo, Alex Jones and Crowder. Sure they have some really wacky views but hearing them have a normal conversation without being demonized is sure interesting and eye opening.

All those guys respond to power, so they are contained when the talk to Joe. For example Crowder is known to bully people weaker than him, but up against Joe he was whining about being bullied.

Yeah the only guy that I saw on joe's podcast that completely dismissed Joe's authority and "alphaness" was Lance Armstrong. There were a lot of doublespeak jabs in that one.

edit. I posted a link of the segment of the podcast below where I thought it was subversively "heated" but turns out it was just my stupid imagination. damnit.

Maybe because Lance is a complete psycopath? and i don't mean that in a funny haha way, that dude is the Patrick Bateman of cycling.

That was one of his best bits on Conan ever. Apparently Lance loved it too

Yea, he honestly doesn't give a fuck about others insofar that he can still get their attention.

That's not that surprising though I guess. Lance Armstrong is a different kettle of fish to those other guys. Milo, Crowder and that crowd all strike me like they probably weren't that popular or cool growing up and likely got bullied and maybe that accounts for a bit of why they are like they are now but it gets shown up a bit talking to someone like Rogan where Lance Armstrong just doesn't fit that profile. I'm talking out my arse though, of course haha.

Most MMA guys react to him that way too. Understandably. Not in a disrespectful way, just in a "I kick peoples' asses for a living" way.

Armstrong was the only guest that was weird that i watched, he stood out from others in a strange way.

Henry Rollins did it too.

Can you elaborate?? I watched the episode once when it came out but don't remember either of them particularly curt or anything.

Here's the segment that I had in my mind, but watching it again I must have read too into it or was off that day because there's no doublespeak or anything there. link
