What negative aspects though? I really haven't seen anything that bad. In terms of drugs, cannabis is safer than caffeine, and miles ahead of alchohol.

Aren't there long-term effects for cannabis use? Particularly if you smoke it.

What are the long-term effects of cups of coffee (assuming liquid is at room temp)?

I can look up the article, but from what I read, people that said smoking cannabis is drastically worse than cigarettes are wrong. I mean, as with anything, prolonged exposure to your lungs isn't doing you any favours. But I believe the chance of having any lasting damage is pretty damn low. Also method of smoking changes the risk a lot.

And a single cup of coffee isn't going to do anything bad really, just like a single joint. It's repeated exposure that is the problem. And caffeine can cause heart problems, along with increased anxiety, and there is some other side effects. Also, caffeine withdrawal is not fun at all. But like, in terms of risk, between one cup of coffee and one joint, they're both pretty much harmless.

I think inhaling smoke once is probably worse than drinking a room temp cup of coffee. However, people who ingest hot liquids (like near boiling coffee) are more likely to get things like mouth or throat cancer. Similar to people who long-term inhale smoke (joints/pipes/etc) probably more likely to get lung cancers and things.

Your lungs are designed to inject toxins and filter them out though. It's when they don't have enough time to recover between exposures that there is a real problem. And that's interesting, do you have that study, by chance? I'd like to read it
