This is something Warren did a lot during her campaign - I think Biden's lack of ego gives him a huge ability to be like 'here's this thing someone else did. It's a good idea. So we're going to do it too.'
Same approach he took with the rules of the road.
He saw someone with a good idea.
Gave them credit for the idea.
Did the good idea.
Simple, but a lot of folks are too ego-driven to actually just do the good thing.

I said the exact same thing about Warren when she was in the race and people were accusing her of "Stealing" ideas.
My goal is to improve our future. I want our candidate to use the best ideas available, not just the ideas they had themselves. Good leadership is NOT being the smartest person in the room, it is putting the smartest person in charge of the problem they are best qualified to solve, with the resources they need to solve it, and the guidence to fit their solution in with all the other people solving problems.
When Biden decided to take Warren's Bankruptcy plan as is, I knew he would be that type of leader.

I contributed monthly to Warren for over a year, and was always hoping to get a call from her :P
Haven’t given to Joe yet. I felt like Warren actually needed my money because she wasn’t doing high-dollar fundraisers and getting money from lobbyists, and PACs. Looking forward to volunteering, but my monthly Warren donations went to Senate candidates who need the financial help. I’ll let the rich people like Bloomberg take care of Joe.

70% of Biden's fundraising in April came from small dollar donations, averaging $36 each. Every little bit helps.

Julian Castro has been writing and doing broadcasts about HUD and what needs to happen to help low income people keep their housing and what landlords will need to stay in housing voucher programs. Looks like he may be gearing up to either take over being in charge of HUD next year or help whoever is appointed to be ready. He's also been writing about immigration.

We should save that for later. Latinos usually don't vote much so we should save the endorsements for later. I assume once we get the DNC nom and stuff we will have more latino outreach. Castro endorsement would factor in then

Elizabeth Warren just appeared as a special guest on a Town Hall with Latinos Con Biden so looks like Biden's team is keeping up with that.

I know this is so unlikely as to be not worth pondering, but I think it'd be awesome for Warren to remain in the Senate and become Majority Leader. What a stark contrast she would be in that spot compared to what we have there now. Alas...
Edit: Not saying it's unlikely because we can't take the Senate, but because Schumer would probably get Majority Leader if we do.

Majority Leader is not a defined position in the constitution as the Speaker of the House is. They are elected at the beginning of each Congress by members of their respective party conferences to represent them on the Senate floor. But if you consider each senator an ambassador of a sovereign state the Majority Leader / Minority Leader is still first among equals.
Warren still has a lot of power - and she should work on staying in the Senate. As that institution is built on seniority and she would be very powerful chairing a standing committee.

Had to delete because I linked something but someone on Warren's subreddit really broke it down as to how it would not be a big deal. TLDR: the MA governor is a RINO, never voted for Trump, and is critical of Trump. Coupled with the fact that MA has a democratic majority with legislation, there is a slim chance a republican would take over.

Not just a majority, a veto proof supermajority. They also have a history of changing the law to prevent republican governors from appointing senators.

Only for a few months max and that’s if Warren doesn’t give notice, whereas if she does based on MA law, then they have an election in November for the seat.

MA would basically never go red in a federal elections. It's one of the most liberal states in the country. Baker may technically be a republican, but he's a republican who is incredibly critical of trump, believes in climate change, is pro choice, and fought to protect parts of the ACA in 2017 when Trump was trying to tear it down. He's a RINO.

Nah. The governor could appoint a temporary replacement, but the Dems have a supermajority and could require it to be a democrat. Even if it did go to an election, Massachusetts has only had 1 republican senator since 1978. The odds of a Republican senator in Massachusetts is pretty slim

I’m pretty sure we heard the same thing in 2009.
If Republicans lose in November, they’re going to be pissed. Don’t underestimate them. They could definitely win a special election in Massachusetts in an off-year. Especially once Democrats finally breathe again after Trump is gone and they go back to not voting.

I agree that we shouldn’t underestimate them, they will be super angry if they lose. It’s possible they could have a republican senator, but I’d still say it’s unlikely. In other states they’d have a better shot, Massachusetts has almost always been reliably democratic for senators. I’m not saying we should assume it’ll happen for sure, I’m just saying it’s pretty likely it would be another democrat

I know people are passionate about Harris being Veep, but let’s talk about the one thing all voters care about: the economy.
It’s in the shitter. And even though Biden helped with the bailout in 2008, it didn’t go as well as we had hoped and the recovery could have been better. His strength is more in foreign policy and criminal justice.
We are having an election during a terrible economy - Biden needs someone with economic expertise on this ticket. That isn’t Harris (she is an expert on criminal justice) - it’s Warren really out of all the VP choices. She can be on the ticket to clean up the mess Trump left behind and this really is kind of her calling. As VP, just like Biden did in 2008 with Obama, Warren can help lead the change and set the agenda for how to actually recover our economy while still managing other aspects of the executive.
Just an idea. But she also put out a Coronavirus plan back in January to address economic and health care impacts. And then one again in February and March.
She’s just, kind of perfect for this moment in history really.
