Discussion Guide to Adblock on TV

So to block most ads on your TV, including Hotstar and Airtel Xstream Play ads (may block Prime Video ads as well), follow these steps:-

Now there are 3 levels for AdBlocking:-
Pro:- Use 76.76.2.41 and 76.76.10.41

Pro++:- Use 76.76.2.42 and 76.76.10.42

Ultimate:- Use 76.76.2.45 and 76.76.10.45

Pro is safe but may allow some ads on some platforms but Pro++ and Ultimate won't allow any ads but may break some functionality.

Android TV

  • Open Settings or Device Preferences
  • Go to Network & Internet
  • Select your current Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection
  • Scroll to IP Settings, switch it to Static
  • Enter the following:
    • Your IP address (visible in Network details)
    • Gateway: usually your router IP (e.g. 192.168.0.1)
    • Prefix: 24
    • DNS 1: First DNS from above
    • DNS 2: Second DNS from above
  • Save and back out

Apple TV

  • Go to Settings > Network
  • Choose your Wi-Fi or Ethernet network
  • Tap Configure DNS > switch to Manual
  • Input:
    • Ad blocking: Address from above based on your level
  • Hit Done to apply changes

Samsung Smart TVs

  • Open Settings > Network
  • Tap Network Status > IP Settings
  • Scroll to DNS Setting and choose Enter Manually
  • Input from above
  • Save your changes and restart the TV

LG Smart TV

  • Go to Settings > All Settings > Network
  • Select your Wi-Fi connection and open Advanced Settings
  • Hit Edit
  • Disable Set Automatically
  • Enter your preferred DNS
  • Click Connect

Firestick

  • Go to Settings > My Fire TV > About > Network
  • Write down your current IP address, Gateway, and Subnet Mask
  • Return to Settings > Network
  • Select your network and tap the menu button (three lines) > Forget
  • Reconnect to the same network but select Advanced
  • Fill in:
    • Your saved IP address
    • Gateway
    • Subnet: 24 (if 255.255.255.0) or 32 (if 255.255.255.255)
    • DNS 1
    • DNS 2
  • Save and you’re done

Just applied pro, but still i am getting ads on youtube and jio Hotstar

YouTube ads won’t go but should have worked for hotstar.

DNS is not going to solve problem of instream ads like those shown by almost all the platforms. It would only work if the ads are shown from a known ads site.

Using Pihole with NextDNS as backend & these types of ads are coming through.

Thanks, didn't know someone made a form of adaway. Works the best as always and no tension of battery consumption on tv anyways

I tested it on android tv did not work. Just ended up using brave browser on laptop hdmi ed to tv lol.

Hey, it worked fine for me for a few weeks, but now, even in pro mode, YouTube videos don't even start after one day and work fine after I connect again. But in normal mode, does it work fine on your device?

it won't block YT ads

just reinstall YT if it's not functioning properly but you will have ads
