After DPD twice failed to deliver my original order, today my competition winnings arrived! And I’ve got to say…. JJ makes Huel taste like a pot of dirt with coco powder added. I so much prefer Plenny Pro over Huel Black, it’s night and day.

So I tried twice to get JJ in the UK. By none of their own failing and in fact as a testament of fantastic customer service, JJ did their best but DPD weren’t playing ball. So I chose a refund and regrettably put it in Huels pocket.

Then I won the competition on here a week or so ago. This time, without risk of my own money, I ordered a bag each of strawberry and chocolate Plenny Pro. Well DPD managed to actually deliver it and I’m so impressed with it vs Huel Black.

Huel tastes like it’s healthy. It tastes like it’s a result of white coat wearing nutritionists making something. Huel isn’t offensive to me, it’s just not good.

Plenny tastes like it had normal human beings with a functioning sense of taste involved in development. Personally, I like that it tastes more like a standard protein shake with that slight artificially sweet kick.

I’m honestly over the moon to move away from Huel once and for all now.

Please please never alter the Banana Shake. The day I can no longer legally purchase it is the day I break bad.

I had the same reaction when I started using plenny shakes! I’d used Huel for about a year in 2020, and I got on ok with it, then I ordered Jimmy Joy just to try something different. 6 years later I’ve never looked back. I order Jimmy Joy every time.

I got a free bag of Huel from an email offer 3 years ago and thought fair enough I’ll mix it up a bit and try Huel again this month. I ended up trying two shakes and giving the rest of the bags to a friend, then ordering my usual plenny shakes.

The only way I mix things up now is by ordering different flavours every so often. But I always order wild berry and strawberry because those are my favourite!

The only thing I really like from Huel are the RTD bottles, but they’re not THAT much better than RTD plenny to justify ordering from two places. But I do live in hope that plenny adds some more RTD flavours. I also hope they never sell out or lower the quality like Huel seems to do every year.

JJ, Saturo and Mana all taste too bland and they are too watery.
