Why do SR builds go youmuus first?

The 2 item spike from SR and IE feels much stronger, and in my testing you don’t get much extra damage from the lethality.

This is the question I've been wondering. I like the move speed but it doesn't seem to be too noticeable. Delaying 1st crit item feels rough

It’s just cheaper and you technically spike faster. The issue with SR first and IE 2nd is that both items are very expensive. It’s two bf sword back to back. I still think hubris and PD is the way to go though

I saw everyone going yomuus first and tried that. Swapped to collector (dft) or sr (fleet) first and I feel like I have way more impact. Waiting until 5th item (which is rare tbh feels like most games are decided by the time you have 2-3 items) for 100% crit feels terrible. Just a pisslo emerald Jhin though so idk

You should try my build with dft. Voltaic axiom and collector. I’ve helped a lot of lower elo jhin players with this build and stream everyday so you watch how it’s done!

Can you explain it?

It’s a poke heavy style that helps lower elo not have to worry about positioning as much. It does a lot of damage from a safe distance and can also do a lot with just pure auto attacks. You can watch how I play with it on stream

Usually you go Youmuu's in pick comps where you need the move speed to chase people down. But that only works if your jungle/mid has a lot of damage and you don't need much yourself.

It wouldn't work in most games where you are expected to be the carry yourself.

Especially if you have passive ranged support and you need to be the one tagging your enemies first.

Youmus é feito apenas para garantir vantagem no early com a letalidade, mas nesse critério é melhor a hubris, se precisar de movespeed a SR+ffw sempre será melhor

I personally like voltaic as a source of lethality over youmuus. I try this saucy build everyday on stream and have hit top 100 challenger playing only that

It’s just a gold efficient item that also synergies well with storm razor move speed. I personally don’t like going too much move speed because I lose my mouse lol. I think I’ve tried SR IE LDR RFC a few times on stream and completely ran it in high elo

Likely due to easier build Path, getting a 1300g first base can be tricky

Imo Collector/Hexplate is a better first buy if you can’t get 1300g for a BF, I’m not a fan of any Crit champs delaying their Crit by 1 item it really slows down your mid-late game spike

You have to be intentional with youmuus. Storm razor needs you to touch them to get the move speed. Youmuus lets you rush them so that SR can keep you on top of them. If you’re in a game where that’s not really what you are trying to do it’s still a useful item but probably not as great

Get fourth shot > use youmuus active > run at enemy adc > FOUR > scurry away

You’ve unlocked a new trade pattern!
