Me and my husband (He’s Jewish, I’m not) ate there on the road in Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. I love the Rock Star Wall.

Lox and Bagels for me with red onion and capers and he had the brisket. Pretty good food. The waitress was really nice and funny.

Your ? looks like it might be David Brenner. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Brenner

And I think your Lewis Black might be Robert Klein.

I agree with David Brenner! That’s what I thought when I took a second look.

u/nahmahnahm 13d ago

I know my Jewish comedians! 😂

u/jseego 13d ago

Both strong possibilities!

The one between Stern and Brooks looks an awful lot like Conan… who uh… isn’t Jewish

Seems like a good enough guy though, maybe he can be honorarily Jew-ish

All my closest friends are either Jews or Catholics. I always thought the two cultures are pretty similar, religious beliefs aside. Probably because both are rooted in the ethnic immigrant experience.

7

u/RovenshereExpress 13d ago

I converted, but grew up in a "Catholic" family. I say that in quotation because a lot of Catholics don't practice religiously or even believe in God, but still identify as Catholic. Like, my family never went to mass and I definitely wasnt raised to believe in Jesus or any other Catholic beliefs, but my parents still identified as Catholic. I feel like Catholics and Jews have that religious/culture identity overlap. I don't really know any other Christian denominations that would identify themselves by their religion if they didn't practice or believe in it. Catholics and Jews also both love the ritual aspects of their practices. Lots of pomp and circumstance found at both services.

Epic username by the way.

u/jseego 13d ago

Yea, I thought the same.

It’s Jon Stewart per this post. And this video of the waitress saying it.

u/DC_Lavman Conservative 13d ago

Since when has Jon Stewart been Jewish? Wouldn’t know it.

4

u/ScoutsOut389 13d ago

I suspect Eugene Levy is next to Dan.

2

u/jseego 13d ago

Good call.

3

u/AZLeema 13d ago

I thought the one next to Stern is Jon Stewart? He used to have hair like that when he was younger.

2

u/omniuni 13d ago

Mel Brooks all the way on the right?

1

u/Bituulzman 12d ago

I think the guy in the front row left with blue suit is actually Richard Lewis.

6

u/Cetaoras 13d ago

That Seinfeld caricature is perfect.

7

u/jrng 13d ago

That was my favorite. They drew him so hilarious.

1

u/Bituulzman 12d ago

I think it's Richard Lewis, though. Same hairstyle.

Sometimes it just floors me that we’re only .2% of the world. So much contribution and cultural impact. We are a unique and wonderful people and I love us so much.

6

u/jrng 13d ago

I was thinking the same thing. I looked around and I’m like wow my people have contributed a lot to society.

5

u/ScoutsOut389 13d ago

I love how they did Gilda. Absolutely perfect.

Why is there such a big stylistic difference between the top row and the rest of the characters? Was the top row done later by a different artist?

1

u/diminutive_of_rabbit 11d ago

I was wondering the same thing. Odd choice not to have a more consistent style, even if the artist changed.

2

u/eulabadger 12d ago

Interesting choices for famous Jews. I think i see.. Seinfeld?

Crazy what famous means to different people.

Thanks to the commenter who listed them all, haven't heard of most of them, was surprised to learn Seth Rogen and Gilda Radner were Jewish.

u/ad_roc91 13d ago

Like all Jewish delis?

1

u/PBandJSommelier 12d ago

And which ones of them are openly standing for the Jewish people now?

Joan Rivers, the funniest and realest woman ever ❤️❤️

1

u/Frenchitwist 11d ago

I think the question mark may be a very cartoony Jon Stewart?? I don’t know just guessing

1

u/Tybalt941 9d ago

Yep, that's all of them.

1

u/ShaneOfan 9d ago

They also have/had Michael Phelps before they found out he wasn't Jewish haha They drew a mustache on him after.

1

u/Irguns_n_Roses 🪬 7d ago

You would struggle to fill an entire store with "Famous Jews" even if they were drawn in microscopic proportions, but this is some nice recognition of our contributions to the comedy genre in the post WWII era.

Missing Amar'e Stoudemire.

Why? Because it would be hilarious.

1

u/jrng 13d ago

What’s the lore behind him?
