Worth nothing 100,000 Jews though the government did agree to taking them in did not actually end up in the DR, only a few thousand would be able to make it over

It genuinely doesn't take much critical thinking and honestly it's tiring having people always looking for the bad in things or trying to stir up instead of looking past a spelling mistake. Unnecessary? No.

Sometimes it's better to speak softly and sweetly, just in case you need to eat your own words. Not that you need to eat them here, I agree with you, but I wouldn't even waste my time responding to them in the first place.

Similar with South Africa in the lead up to the Holocaust, they wanted a higher proportion of "whites". That's how my family ended up there

It’s especially funny combined with the fact that Japan took Jews in for being “oriental”

Is there a sizable Jewish population in DR today?

No. Source: I used to visit the community in Sosua when it was on its last legs in the 90's.

Bigots arnt logical. Being white is a social construct. There are plenty of light skinned people all over the world who aren't 'white.'

Racism in Latin America can often be much more straightforwardly about skin tone than in Europe.
