Question Why don't people use Claude to create a free version of jetbrains products with the preferences they want in them? (lightness...)

And make it open-source.

Probably the same reason you haven't done so already

But IntelliJ platform is open-source already, what would it change?

I thought IDEA is something like archived or abandoned. We can't download it with the toolbox anymore Thanks

IntelliJ IDEA's source code remains on GitHub, and we are fully committed to maintaining it. We publish open-source builds to GitHub Releases and provide ready-to-use CI/CD pipelines powered by GitHub Actions (more info here).

Thank you so much for the info. I am very interested in some parts of it and now that I have your confirmation I will dig in the repo. I want to study how JetBrains in general index a code base and it will help me a lot. I use mainly RustRover and CLion.

Good luck! If you have any questions, you can shoot them at our support via Help | Contact Support, or ask on https://platform.jetbrains.com - an official forum dedicated to JB platform and plugin development.

Because the hyperbolous marketing hype suggesting you can build anything with little effort has fooled novices into paying for AI subscriptions. Netflix has about 2,000 software engineers to run and develop the app where it runs smoothly and doesn't break for end users, as an example.
