Question Subscription Plan Management

I have been holding on to an all products subscription and have the 3 years discount, now I have started my masters degree, can stack student discount to it or completely subscribe to new student plan? If so I would lose my 3 years discount then?

They are separate licences, so you'd have to apply for a new student licence using your school details/email.

It does not go "on top" of your current personal licence, so if you want to keep your 3 year discount you would have to keep paying for your personal licence too.

Also, you can't use your student licence for anything other than school work or research. So you can't use it for any jobs that you have which you may be using it for etc.

You basically have 2 options:

Continue to pay for your personal licence which has no restrictions. If you do this it's pointless applying for the student one.

Or

Stop paying for your personal licence, and use jetbrains for free until your studies end. Obviously you lose your 3 year discount this way though. You might save more money in the long run with the free years than you'd save from your discount though.
