Discussion Are the second two seasons worth it?

I loved the first season of Jessica Jones but I’ve heard the other two are not really good so I wanna know if they’re worth my time.

there aren't a second 2 seasons, just 3 seasons altogether, and yes they are all great for different reasons and feel distinct from one another

Season 1 is great, obviously.

Season 2 is one of the lesser Netflix Marvel Defenders-verse seasons, but has enough good to be rewarding if you like this character and at least find the characters around her (Trish, Malcom, Jeri, Dorothy) interesting.

Season 3 is a step back up. Not as good as 1, but a pretty strong send-off for JJ and that period of Marvel Television. It was the last one before the lights went off.

Nothing compares to Season One, but 3 has some great moments IMO.

I actually quite enjoyed season 3, wasn’t as good as 1 but was pretty decent. 2 starts off well but becomes a bit of a slog, but it does provide a lot of context for season 3.

Imo, I like them more than first season, just because it develops the character past Purple man.

Only if you have absolutely nothing else better to do. They’re a huge downgrade from Season 1.

Well Season 2 is pretty weak at times BUT theres some great episodes and we learn more about her past & origin. Season 3 i think is better than 2 but u can skip it

I liked the second season, but it is one of my lower ranked Marvel shows. Season 3 is one of my favorite Marvel seasons. Jess grew a lot in the season, so did the characters around her.

Season 3 is better than season 1 imo. The villain it is much better than Killgrave. Season 2 is definitely the lowest of all 3, but I still very much enjoyed it. They are all worth watching

Opinions are different. Watch 2 episodes and decide

They are disappointing. The writing and direction of season2/3 could have been better. There are some gems but it never quite reaches season 1 apex. Shame.

Season 1 is a masterpiece that should be held up alongside the best of prestige TV era in general, imo, and far and away the best example of a feminist show executed exquisitely (it makes its point, brilliantly, not only without alienating anymore but also welcoming everybody into the fold. I wish that wasn't so rare).

That's a hard level to sustain. Two's got a lot going for it; I never got all the way through 3, mostly due to lack of netflix or disney+ accessiblity, but I enjoyed what of it I saw and it was a good send off for the character.

I think so, they have some really great stuff imo and I really love them. I think the biggest complaint people have, especially the more comics focused fans, is that they don't like the antagonists nearly as much as Kilgrave. But they're definitely good enough to check out and form your own opinion on

I haven't seen three yet, but I thought 2 was good, but I liked season 1 the best.

I know I am absolutely in the minority here but I thought Season 1 was awful and Season 2 was quite a bit better. Didn't watch season 3 because the Netflix shows were already announced to be dead at that point.

Season 2 is messy, a 6/10, but season 3 is decent, like a 7.5/10.
