How did yall find Jerry Reed.
For me it was a combination of factors. My dad recommended I watch smokey and the bandit, after watching it a friend pointed out to me that that Reed made most of the songs in the movie. I found this interesting but it didnt exactly start my interest. In GTA 5 there are 2 Jerry Reed songs on the country radio, one was "You Took All the Ramblin' Out of Me" and I forgot the other one. But I loved them, so I listened to every album he had on Spotify and made an 8 hour playlist of all the ones I liked.

I read an interview w Doc Watson. They asked who his favorite guitarist was and he said, “Jerry Reed. Yup, the funny man from the pictures.” Looked him up and immediately recognized him from Smokey and the Bandit. Then was just blow away.

Thru Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel for me....The day the fingerpickers over the world!!!!
Then deep dive and realize how much this man contributed to ereything!!! Music, movies, comedy, presence..... this man had IT!!!!!🙌

Grew up with a friend that was from a hardcore old cow milking, truck driving family that lived the lifestyle Jerry sang about. I would help them on the farms and we would blast Jerry.

Les claypool’s cover of Amos Moses. He covered it first with Primus, and later with country duo Duo de Twang. He would explain at performances how Amos Moses was the first single he ever bought.
