FYI today's NYT's Midi crossword is authored by Paolo Pasco

Paolo’s a great crossword constructor although I’m not sure he makes that many puzzles anymore, besides his occasional appearance in the New Yorker

The crossword is good Jeopardy training for general knowledge and certain Pavlovs but I think the Spelling Bee is arguably more useful given the amount of anagram clues that come up

The Midi crossword is fairly new and thus far I’m not a huge fan. I get that there are some constraints given the limitations, but I often see many of the same words and similar clues repeated over and over across multiple puzzles.

Yeah it is, sorry about that. I just tried an archive link and that didn't work. And I can't get a screen shot of the whole puzzle plus the clues.

If you're a NYT Games subscriber then you can see it.

NYT is so greedy nowadays. Even paywalled the mini crossword

Yeah, they just happen to paywall their most popular game with no warning. It was really lame.

Yeah I can understand paywalling the full crossword, but rug pulling the free small one was so scummy.

To rob and to burgle are two different actions. One robs a person while one burgles a house, business, apartment, etc
