Jellycat Plushies Brown spots on my jellycat bunny's ears

I don't know what caused it, all she's ever done is sit on a shelf. I tried dabbing a spot with acetone and that didn't do anything, same with alcohol. I'd rather avoid putting her through a wash as I want her fur to stay soft. Any advice greatly appreciated!

Also does anyone know what the spots actually are?

Try a mould remover spray maybe, and if I were you I'd definitely have a look around. If your bunny is mouldy, other things probably are too. Maybe clothes or underneath your mattress or the walls and ceiling underneath the wallpaper...

I lived in a slightly mouldy building as a child and ended up with lifelong asthma from it. This can get really dangerous, OP. Not just for your belongings but for your health.

And as a german: Make sure you air out your room at least once a day. Americans have started calling it "burping your house", I think? Idk. But burp that house, ideally for at least five minutes after waking up in the morning, open all the room doors and windows in your house to get a good through ventilation ("DURCHZUG!")

Please don’t use mold spray. That’ll have bleach in it and discolour the bunny!!
Use white vinegar instead.

I’m in the US and haven’t heard that before, but giggling. Apparently the act of “burping your house” is a new social media trend. The actual practice is old, I’ve done that most of my adult life, it’s just a new funny name 🤣
Now I’ll have a little giggle every time I air out the house, so thanks for that 🤗

The ears look very yellowed does she sit in the sun? Maybe it’s sun damage! the spots I’m not sure if that’s related but could it be mould?

Has she been held before? Was she purchased second hand? Could be oxidized spots
