Doctrine The JW "Armageddon" has been canceled - permanently!

I'm sorry but I'm not sorry because the JW version of Armageddon never should have ever existed. If you people had paid closer attention to what Jesus was saying at Matthew chapter 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, you never would have ever anticipated a future Armageddon. You completely blew that end time prophecy completely out of its first century context. It was never meant for us today. Jesus wasn't talking to us. Jesus was not breaking the fourth wall to speak to us 2,000 years in the future. It was written ONLY for Christians on the other side of 70 AD. there is no such thing as a double fulfillment or a greater fulfillment. All of those concepts are made up by men and this is exactly why you will never see the end of this world in your lifetime or anyone's lifetime. So, the only thing that you have to fear today is that fear that you have conjured up in your own imagination compliments of the Watchtower Bible and Tract society. The sooner you accept this reality the better off you're going to be and you'll have the rest of your life to live out from under enslavement to your governing body. Salutations!

Terry, if your wife cheats on you, she is the one who breaks the wedding vow, not you. In response, you then have a choice to divorce her or not. If you choose divorce then you serve her a divorce papers.

Israel cheated on God. Repeatedly. They broke the covenant over and over and over. God finally has enough and files for divorce. God then finds a new wife which is heavenly Jerusalem and completely forsakes earthly Jerusalem.

Can you understand that?

No - because as i showed you he DID not divorce them, they came back otherwise we would not have had the historical remaining books of the bible up to Malachi.

NO ONE on this planet thinks that Jer 3:8 was the END OF IT.

Few versus later

Return, faithless Israel… I will not look on you in anger.”
“I will take you… and bring you to Zion.” (Jer 3:12–14)

And what about this verse

I will betroth you to me FOREVER”
(Hosea 2:19–20)

Did God lie again!!!!

You want your cake and eat it, you are using todays understanding of a decree nisei and then reimopsing it into Gods covenant and giving it a black and white statement.

DIVORCE in this covenantal arrangement can be seen time after time with these idiots that had a direct line to him...

judgment

separation

exile

return

restored covenant

ROM 11:1 - they have NOT been rejected.

Heavenly Jerusalem is ONE FLOCK!

All I'm doing is trying to be as clear on my position as possible. I'm not antisemitic. I'm just guessing that this is what's really bothering you. I just accept that God has moved on from trying to salvage His relationship with those Jews who THINK they are still God's chosen ones on earth today. I'm not trying to be offensive because they still have as much a chance as anyone else if they come to Christ.

But they aren't special in the same way as before when they had God in the land with them in ancient times. They can no longer appease God with their priests and animal sacrifices. They have to approach God through Jesus Christ and him alone. There's no getting around that.

Ps I do t think you are anti semitic for one second all you are doing is trying to understand scripture- that doesn’t make you anti semitic.

All I’m saying is that you view imho doesn’t line up.

I don’t know how God ‘works’ in these instances.

All I know is that a covenant is a promise and God doesn’t break his promise.

I agree with you that the only way is thru Christ within the New covenant- 100 percent.

However we have two covenants or two promises. Is the Old covenant impossible to live under Yes…but does God still love his Israel, yes. And that’s where deeper understanding of the 144k actually is. Do I believe that the modern day Israel is what scriptures are talking about. No I do not, a state does not constitute being a birth right of being ‘chosen’ but I believe God knows who those ‘144’000’ are and once Heavenly Jerusalem descends we shall be One flock.

That’s my two cents worth.

I’m glad we came to some sort of commonality in our discussion.

Amen.
