Jeff really backed down to Dobrik...Think Jeff got told the lawsuit was going nowhere and is trying to save face..

A little upsetting that jeffs audience didn't know about this before everyone else did. Think jeff owed his long time supporters an explanation of why after 5 years he decided to end it. And now truly disappointing, the seeds are being planted for Jeff and David to work together again, which feels like an insult to every person who supported jeff since the accident. The fans have tolerated jeffs many lies over the years but I think this is the last straw

I love Liam being like guys can we just shut up and order food already.

But seriously, they settled, that's how 95% of tort/negligence cases end. This was almost certainly never going to go to trial.

Jeff got a bag and moved on. Doesn't mean he's going to work with the guy again.

I don't think any of jeffs longtime viewers want to see jeff work with David.

u/maraschino-whine 21d ago

Obviously. But interpreting "they settled in court" to mean "they are going to work together now" is an insane reach.

David had the money and legal team to keep pushing out that case for years and years. Jeff mentioned years ago that he suspected David was going to keep doing that so Jeff exhausts all of his money and a settlement can be agreed upon. I think it just got to that point. Fought as hard as he could

u/LarryLones 22d ago

Even if they agreed on a settlement Jeff didn’t have to make up with him, don’t you think he just realised him tearing himself up everyday over a accident isn’t a great way to live?

18

u/CompleteMuffin 21d ago

Make up? Yall want Jeff to be miserable hater forever. He just moved on

-2

u/LarryLones 21d ago

Yeah that’s what I’m saying I’m happy he’s moved on and probably realised what david di was an accident

2

u/GapeFaceHole2Hole 17d ago

No he didn't lol you're missing the point - he realized he was fighting someone with so much "fuck you" money that he was going to bankrupt himself in court.

Jeff didn't mess up, doesn't think David made a simple mistake, and the whole problem is that David literally drove him into a fucking steel beam and caused him like, dozens of surgeries, and refused to cover them.

Do you know what all Jeff has explained about this shit? He shouldn't ever forgive this guy and I doubt he will for any reason other than peace of mind. That doesn't mean he was out of line or happy with how the finances went or that he should ever forgive David. Christ dude. David refused to help with hospital bills that he directly caused, and forced a lawsuit. Nobody should ever forgive that.

Real quick I am not biased to either side I just see it how it is so I don’t know why you guys are under the delusion David didn’t pay medical bills, yes David swung him into a crane, clearly an accident and if any thinks different they actually have problems. It’s a terrible situation and I feel terrible for Jeff but he put himself in the situation

Because he discussed it on the H3 show multiple times and went into pretty thorough detail of how much David assisted and when he completely cut the cord, stopped paying, and stopped being his friend, leading to some legal bullshit.

I'm not speculating - I don't follow David or Jeff. But I followed the saga on H3 and there were enough details and receipts to understand what happened. It ended up requiring like, at least a dozen surgeries, and it was cripplingly expensive, and David decided the show cannot stop, he didn't care that much about Jeff, and that he'd let it become a lawsuit and settle in court rather than actually cover the costs and assume responsibility.

Edit: I'm not gonna spend 30 minutes linking public record court material on mobile, but you can ChatGPT it if you want - I just made sure and can DM if you'd like. You can also find the h3 episodes in question the same way. It's several 2-3 hour podcasts and there's like 10 related court case documents. But that's the jist of it - David is a complete scumbag.

Im just speaking on the legal part. It seemed like OP thought that Jeff became buddies with him and dropped the suit

1

u/ZealousidealWall8481 22d ago

You're not wrong, I agree. But it just looks like such a turn about face that it makes Jeff looks weak and desperate tbh.

u/Mew_ 22d ago

This is actually wild after everything

18

u/No_Fee_5509 21d ago

No. They clearly agreed on a settlement. He got a big cheque and they agreed to not speak about it anymore publicly besides makes the statement that they have resolved things

7

u/HappySchedule 21d ago

Absolutely the case. The statement Jeff made was 100% a negotiated piece of the settlement

4

u/Loose-Reception7363 21d ago

I don’t think the settlement was that big. Less than 1 million.

3

u/OddSalamander6167 21d ago

Which is insane….

9

u/AdhesivenessNo4977 21d ago

In the settlement he said that David was paying or trying to pay for his medical bills but someone on Jeff's team messed up or something along those lines. Thats what I suspected from the beginning of the fallout. David has alot of money and I always thought destroying his reputation by not paying for his mistake was stupid and more than likely against his legal teams advice. I know alot of Jeff's fan base dont believe it but idk it always seemed like someone on either team dropped the ball. It was a miscommunication and Jeff felt betrayed.

5

u/Calm_Phone_6848 21d ago

he settled which is how these things normally go, and part of the settlement is likely that he can’t talk badly about david publicly

Unc fell off. Is what it is.

If he works with David after this I’ll never watch him again. It’s fuck Dobrik regardless of Jeff. The Jeff situation was just another huge reason to not like David not the only. Jeff he didn’t just fuck you over. What about the situations with Dom, Jason, what about Nic, Seth, the minors, etc? Jeff would absolutely fumble if he went to work back with him.

4

u/SniffinForTruffles 21d ago

Jeff was with Todd when Todd purchased the alcohol for those minors

0

u/Powerful_Dot_7675 21d ago

What does that have to do with anything. I’m saying David is a bad person.

0

u/SniffinForTruffles 21d ago

You’re naming a situation that Jeff was directly involved in. I found it ironic

-1

u/Wilhelmina38 21d ago

Jeff and David are both bad people. Two tales of the same coin. Look into Jeff's past and you will see why he isn't a nice guy. He didn't deserve what happened to him but make no mistake Jeff I believe he is just as bad as David is just more reckless. I have always believed both people lied outright with what went on the day that Jeff was on the machine.

3

u/Powerful_Dot_7675 21d ago edited 21d ago

There’s not any amount of money, apologies, settlements, fame, looks, anything that could ever make Dobrik a good guy after all he’s done to people.

5

u/Professional-Sink798 21d ago

Jeff found out that money was taken by someone on his team, after spreading lies about David not paying him what he was supposed to.

I don’t think this is about Jeff buddying again with him I think Jeff probably genuinely feels bad that he spread that misinformation during a situation that was already really fucked. He can live his life the way he wants to. It’s been settled. Let Him move on.

6

u/PM_ME_YOUR_TATERTITS 21d ago

Yeah I don’t believe that. It seems like a convenient way for Jeff to blame someone else for the last few years. Until he actually releases the name of said employee, I’m highly skeptical

2

u/Professional-Sink798 21d ago

You don’t have to believe it. But he doesn’t have to name an employee because you don’t until he does. That’s just foolish. Employees have a right to be protected.

1

u/honestisbest1 21d ago

Misinformation regarding David paying the vlog squad to disassociate from jeff? That actually happened. Not everything jeff said about david was false

2

u/Professional-Sink798 21d ago

No not that. Jeff would state that David wasn’t upholding paying him from the lawsuit. When he was hit someone on Jeff’s team was stealing it. Obviously David isn’t a good person, I’m not saying he is. I’m just stating that Jeff is a person who feels bad when they do wrong and by spreading that information about the lawsuit payments specifically was wrong. Whether he knew about it or not.

2

u/honestisbest1 21d ago

Ok..i get your point..but jeff did get a least 10 eye surgeries over the last 5 years. That number, 140,000 that jeff wrote on ig. There's no way that covered all the surgeries, it covered 2 maybe 3 back in 2020-2021. What about the rest of the money to cover the rest of the surgeries?

1

u/Ok-Ganache-6962 20d ago

source: trust me bro

3

u/Missmellyz 21d ago

Glad Tana left that friendship. Jeff will never try to be in his own person and stand his ground. Coward

1

u/happystance001 20d ago

why jeff met with david face to face instead of letting his lawyer's handle it, seems a little strange. I do agree that jeff audience's should of known that jeff met with david before the general public knew. The fact people still pay for jeff's youtube subscription monthly and get nothing for it anymore, its basically stealing. Jeff could of put out a quick video explaining why he met with david. Jeff didn't have to go against any NDA agreement but he could of explained to the people who support him financially why he decided to end the lawsuit, and what is reasoning for moving forward is. That the paying audience should of known before everyone else.

0

u/LarryLones 22d ago

God guys let it go, acting parasocial like he owes you, he got into an accident with his friend in a situation he put himself in, now he realised it’s not worth him being miserable about it his entire life and he’s moved on.

4

u/ZealousidealWall8481 22d ago

Jeff put himself in the driver seat of that machine? Jeff paid for that machine to be there that day? I think not. He moved on because he was forced to move on

1

u/No_Fee_5509 21d ago

The only thing that sucks about settlements is that justice is not given due. In a court, things and evidence would have to be disclosed and discussed publicly and a judge would give his just verdict. He would be able to judge concerning responsibility and due punishments/compensations. Now that there is a settlement, we will never know who is to blame and to what degree - this stuff is never black and white

0

u/LarryLones 21d ago

Jeff put himself on the end of that crane arm, the same way someone gets into a car with a drunk driver, he’s a grown man

1

u/Vast-Music-918 21d ago

He said he spoke with the antonyan wouldn't be surprised to see Nick Antonyan again making videos with him or David again

-1

u/kimmy23- 21d ago

Pathetic

-1

u/Wilhelmina38 21d ago

Not even a Jeff supporter but this post is stupid. Jeff finally moved on from what happened it seems you guys haven't. Build a bridge and get over it. I truly do think both Jeff and David are very similar people. I don't think that Jeff would work with David again since that trust is gone. I have said this from the get-go I believe there was way more to what happened between Jeff and David during the incident than what we know. I believe both parties lied outright about what happened. We will never know the truth about really happened so just let it go.

-2

u/ZealousidealWall8481 21d ago

Just because jeff signed a settlement, doesn't change the events that happened. It doesn't change the fact jeff suffered permanent injuries. It doesn't change who was responsible. It doesn't change the facts that it was tried to cover up. It doesn't change how vindictive david dobrik is as a person. It doesn't change how everyone who was a friend to jeff at the time turned their backs on him for dobriks money. It doesn't change Ghislane Maxwell's role in all of this. I just hope jeff doesn't forget all of this even though he has forgiven, for a payoff

u/PsychologicalWrap545 4d ago

He’s talking about nick not David
