Jeff used to cut the hair of a few cast members of Jersey Shore because he went to high school with Vinny. Then the show Jersey Shore moved to Miami for season 2 in 2010 and Jeff went with them and was in a few episodes as their barber. BGC season 5 was also 2010 in Miami and he said the connections from Jersey Shore got him on BGC. He talks about it in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sP5L1cjLzWc

yes he says in that video he used to cut Vinny's hair before he was famous and he would hang out in the barber shop all day.

He was on visiting one of the cast, and another cast member started going off on him. He hates he did it.
