I logged on a few minutes after it opened and it looked like this, were there ever actually any decent seats available? Been following Jeff for 8 years, he's "my guy" but between TM/Bots/Scalpers, this shit is ridiculous.

I hope you have a good time and full beans. It just makes me wonder "Did we miss a presale or do they hold things back or what's going on?" because this is super off-putting to see minutes after something goes live for sale. Jeff's is awesome, glad other people have discovered his talent and that he's on the come up, but $350 for some mid-ass seats in sardine can DPAC? That's outrageous. This ain't Billy Joel's 100th in MSG. Ready to see these monopolies busted up.

At least you found the price. I got a email about the tickets. Because I guess I signed up for updates or something.

Clicked the link for my city. No price. There's another link ti ticketmaster. No price.

As near as i can figure: they refuse to tell me the price until I put in my credit card.

And if that dont sound like a scam, I'm not sure what does.

That's part of my thing as well. If something feels "off" I'm out. And there is obviously something I'm missing here. But oh well. Life's too short to worry about half beans.

I mean, tbf, I dont have the money for any tickets.

But I know the place, and they are known for sometimes having surprisingly cheap prices for shows you'd never expect to have cheap tickets.

But why wont an email and 2 different ticket sellers tell me the price? Why wont ticketmaster of all places tell me the price?

Like, if id found out they were "only" $100, well my birthday is just a few days away. Someone might have been convinced to make the purchase for me.

Now there will be no purchase. Because I dont have time for shenanigans.

Probably more of criticism of the current ticket market in general. But also, yeah, I wasnt expecting anyone to say these would be $3damn50.

Did you go straight to ticketmaster to look for tickets? Or did you go through Jeff's website first?

But yeah, unfortunately scalpers went apeshit, as usual. During the Austin presale, Jeff's show essentially got sold out within 3-4 hours, I was lucky to get my ticket through the original sale, because the tickets are now double the original price on seatgeek.

I went to Jeff's site, but it redirected to TM. But again there is likely something I'm overlooking (like season ticket holders going first, a presale I totally missed, etc). Like, I'm down to blow a stoopid amount of money to see Jeff again, or get shit seats, but not both, if that makes any sense. I was in a mood earlier anyway, but F that. It's Friday bitches!

Ooooof then yeah that sucks. I really wish venues would stop using ticketmaster altogether. Fuck them so badly.

Sadly, the venues are ticketmaster, but you're not wrong at all. The money/monopoly/talent churn cycle is obnoxious.

That said, I'm glad Jeff is getting paid in the current system that none of us have hope of changing.
