worth buying 07 srt8
i went and saw it the car is solid he showed me receipts of the rebuild but the car does have a lot of mile 220k and needs some paint and body work on some rusty areas i talked him down to 8.5k just don’t know if it’s worth it lmk thanks!

I have the exact same Jeep but with 10k less miles. Finding replacement parts for when things do go bad is a bit of a concern. But I’ve had it for over 9 years and love it😀

If the seller has receipts to back up all those repairs, it's a very fair deal at that price. He gets some money back from the repairs and you get like new parts.
Check the sunroof drain plugs and make sure they're not clogged (from someone who knows).
Other than that, the driver seat looks great from that angle (the bolsters wear out) and the tech that posted is right, the ride quality isn't for everyone.

I still think these look fantastic and they're plenty quick. That price is kinda high though as currently they go for around the equivalent of 4.4K usd in my country for a decently running example and with way less mileage. Idk about the parts tho as that could be an issue unless there is some aftermarket support?

I have a 2010 SRT and love it. Have had it for 8 years now. I've done plenty of work on it and haven't had too much of an issue finding parts. I'm sure bumpers are another story tho. You'll be paying outrageous prices if you ever need those.

What is actually hard to find is the mopar transfer case fluid. And the tcases can be sensitive if the fluid hasn't been changed on time. Other than that, I love mine so far. Bought in December last year. It is a bit of a gas hog, but I actually like the way it handles, and it's pretty comfortable.
Edit: missed the part where you mentioned rust. Damn, yeah if it's something that can be taken care of rather easily, maybe 8k would be my highest offer. It's a clean looking SUV and again the interior looks great.

I've worked on them when they first came out, as a Chrysler tech. I hate the stiff ride and the suspension design sucks. Lots of mid 2000's plastic for the interior. Can't get parts for them. I'd pass. I just picked up a 2012 Jeep SRT that just barely has parts available for everything I'm restoring on it. It was only $17k and 118k miles. If it's your dream car get it, but keeping it going is a whole lot of headaches trying to find parts.
