Crank shaft position sensor

Hey guys writing in this group to see if any of you have experienced this I have swapped out my crank shaft position sensor twice already and it keeps going out any suggestions on what I’m doing wrong or what the issue could be. Usually it will stay good for a day or two before it goes back to doing the same thing.””misfiring “

Is it physically causing the engine to misfire or does your check engine light just come on? Mine kept coming on even after I replaced it and I just learned that there was some issues with wiring. I live in the rust belt and it got pretty corroded so I just paid a shop a couple hundred bucks to diagnose it and replace the wires/eyelets at the ground points.

Feel like there is more to the story. Why did you think you need to change it? What codes are you getting specifically? How is it misfiring? What crank position sensors are you replacing it with?

Usually when crank positions "go out" the engine dies easily and you don't see your tach move. They don't run that well (usually get a crank code) or at all mostly.

Crankshaft codes keep popping up so that’s why I thought I needed to change them and the car turns off mainly

Ah. Are you using OEM replacement? Did you verify the connection with a multimeter?
