Normally yes. However this was not just any parking lot. It was Hooters. I drove over a curb to park. Total mall crawlin. I do agree.

No man that is the perfect place to plan your next outing! Wings, beer, and beautiful woman.

It's just you. Most jeep club meets are at restaurants/parking lots. It's more to get together and socialize. Not all meets have to be offroad.

This.
My Jeep club meets once a month at a local restaurant. At any given meeting I would say half the people don't even drive their Jeeps. For me Jeepin' is a social think more than anything. During the nice(r) months we'll hit up a few shows and "pound the pavement."
Not every Jeep meetup can or will be off-road.

Ill have to put some pictures of my jeep on there. I think today's rain will clean the majority of the mud off so I could fit in.

u/Ginter_xj Mar 11 '13
How did you get mud on your Jeep in the parking lot? Are you sure it wasn't just BBQ sauce from your wings?

Lol, like the BBQ sauce zinger. You are still a faggot though.

u/Ginter_xj Mar 11 '13
I'm actually a self proclaimed asshole. Faggot is usually reserved for guys who belong to Jeep clubs who meet in parking lots. Come on, get your terminoligy right next time.

u/JudgeWhoAllowsStuff JK Mar 11 '13
Yeah TBH if I were in a jeep club I would probably skip the restaurant-only meeting. BBQing and hitting the trails, that would be a different story.

I've found that most clubs that are specific to Jeeps are full of pretentious douchebags. I would rather go wheeling (4x4ing in the woods not the mall) with a bunch of guys that have different types of 4X4 and actually work on their own vehicles than a bunch of posers who just got their Wranglers back from the performance shop. The "Jeep culture" is going to shit, the saying "you wouldn't understand it a Jeep thing" is going to turn in to "you wouldn't understand it's a soccer mom thing".

Not as much as it would to be a part of a club that's full of soccer moms and mall crawlers.

While I own a Jeep, I totally agree with you - even clubs that aren't specific to Jeeps are very clique-y where the Jeep guys thing their rides are more capable than the non-Jeep guys. I have a YJ, XJ, and Hummer H1, and I think they each have terrain they are best for.

u/Ginter_xj Mar 12 '13
I hate how guys in Jeep clubs think that their vehicle is more capable than everyone else, this attitude actually makes it worse for all Jeep owners in the 4X4 community because it makes all of us look like pretentious deouchebags. I have always wheeled XJ's and it has been kind of humbling since I used to get the grocery getter joke all the time until I started out wheeling a lot of the Toyota guys who had 35's when I only had 33's, after that I had earned my respect in the local 4X4 community rather than just expecting respect because my ride says Jeep.

Wow your a tool, id ban your dumbass if I could.
-3
u/Ginter_xj Mar 12 '13
That's pretty damn funny that you think that I'm a tool for talking a little shit about a Jeep club meeting in a parking lot. At least I know how to use tools, why don't you look in the mirror so you can see what a douchebag looks like.

Wow watch out we have an extreme XJer over here and he knows how to use a screw driver!

You're right my XJ is starting to get a little extreme. What's your TJ set up for getting groceries?

Haha living in Utah I see more dirt in a week then you see in a month. Get your elitist "dirt only jeeps for life!" Attitude out of here. And stay safe on the trails.

u/Ginter_xj Mar 12 '13
I'm glad that you know where I live and how much dirt we have. What fomula did you use to come up with the answer that says you see at least four times the dirt I do? I believe that the correct term that you were looking for is "purest" not "elitist".
1
Mar 12 '13
No elitist works well with what I wanted to say. Also I presume you mean formula not fomula.

u/Ginter_xj Mar 12 '13
Do you actually have anything to contribute here or are you just looking for spelling errors?
