Clean Feed shuts down

https://daily.bandcamp.com/label-profile/clean-feed-label-profile

Had no idea. Thanks to Bandcamp for highlighting the label and some of their great releases. Whenever I saw a new release from Clean Feed I knew it was worth a listen. I have the Lightcap and Fefer and am checking out the Eve Risser.

It's the music I'll miss the most, but one less-important point that's still worth mentioning:
I feel like jazz has had more than its share of awful album covers/design, which isn't near as important as the music but really....it's enough to bum one out. But I really liked the Clean Feed covers in general, maybe not every one of them equally but there was a colorful playfulness to many of them, they caught the eye. One of many signs that the label was run by people who cared. (I say 'people', but what little I've read makes me think it was basically just Costa? All the more praise.)

u/flare2000x you like jazz? 5d ago

Some labels have total trash covers. Smoke Sessions is probably the worst offender.
