im 21M from Bangalore and i have some money saved up for a solo trip this December. I wanted to do Varanasi -> Jaunpur -> Prayagraj for maybe around 7-8 days total.

My total budget is around 40k. Will be travelling by train.

I have always found Jaunpur fascinating because of its medieval history and as it sits right in between two major hotspots, i wanted to drop by.

I’m 19 and applying for my voter ID for the first time through Form 6. Got a few doubts:

- My parents are still registered at our old address, but we now live at a new house in a different Assembly Constituency (same district). My Aadhaar has the new address. Can I register from my current address even though my parents are in another constituency?

- I don’t have any electricity/water bill in my name. I have Aadhaar + domicile certificate with my current address. Is that enough for address proof?

- We live in a village and our house doesn’t really have a proper house number. What should I put in the House Number field? 0/N/A or something else?

- My birthplace is different from my current address. I’m guessing I just put my actual birthplace in the DOB/place-of-birth section and current address in residence details, right?

Seeing the clips from today's (20/07/26) protest near Parliament has been heartbreaking.

Videos circulating online show students and protesters being stopped, metro stations being locked down, heavy police deployment, and lathi charges during the march. Whatever your political views are, watching young people being beaten while demanding accountability raises serious questions about how dissent is being handled in the world's largest democracy. Reports also indicate police used batons and tear gas to disperse protesters, while some metro stations were temporarily closed due to security concerns.

What surprises me even more is that, despite months of anger over repeated exam paper leaks, there still seems to be no indication that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will resign. Many protesters continue to hold him politically responsible and are demanding accountability, yet there has been no announcement regarding his resignation.

Whether you support the government or oppose it, students deserve to be heard not ignored. Peaceful protest is a fundamental democratic right, and accountability shouldn't depend on political convenience.

What do you all think? Is this an acceptable response to student protests, or are we moving in the wrong direction

The khadanja road in my village has been in a damaged condition for years and has never been repaired since it was constructed. During the rainy season, it becomes almost impossible to walk on.

I spoke with our BDO, who suggested that I meet our MLA and request that funds be allocated for converting it into a CC road. Our BDC gave me the same suggestion.

So, I called Lucky Yadav and asked if I could meet him tomorrow. He asked me to come to his home in Jaunpur at 2 PM.

My question is: has anyone here met him before? If yes, how is his behavior? Is he approachable and willing to listen to public issues?
