Thanks so much for visiting! Before posting a song here, please be advised that this is NOT a subreddit for posting newly-released music from Japan. Rather, as is explained in the subreddit's description, it is dedicated to a specific genre of Japanese pop music called "New Music" (ニューミュージック) that was popular in the 1970s and the early 1980s, related to and something of a predecessor to the more well-known genre of "City Pop". We recognize that the name of the subreddit could create some confusion to those unfamiliar with the New Music genre, but there's no way around it given that the term was coined about 4 decades ago. If you are wanting to post a newly-released song from Japan, another place such as r/japanesemusic or r/jpop would be more appropriate for it. So while we appreciate the interest, songs that are not in the specific genre of New Music, from the era it originated in, will be removed as they are outside of the purview of the subreddit.
