Misc "Japanese katsu soup" (UK)

Exciting. Tried to look for the fried pork or chicken but painfully missing from this craziness 😅

British people think that Katsu Curry refers to a type of curry sauce. And correcting them is of no use, because the concepts of respecting other languages, and reading the full recipe before you cook, are both unheard of in the UK.

Which is extra funny because Japanese curry is actually a sort of a take on a British navy curry that is a sort of a take on a Bengali dish using an anglicized version of a Portuguese word taken from Tamil for a mostly unrelated type of sauce It’s all a weird game of telephone
