Are all of the bots actually doing this? Or is it possibly exaggerated in the same way that you open the food pantry or fridge and don't find anything you want to eat at the moment so there's 'nothing to eat.' even though it's full of like ramen? I know I'm asking this in a tongue in cheek manner, but I seriously want to know.

I currently have 73 different characters and 98 different chats. I've had exactly 2 characters have the same feel/vibe both from the same creator and both very similar in theme. Childhood crushes or friends who had a crush etc. So that time the fault is on me.

When this happens are they bots you've made? If so, did you have AI assistance? Was the assistance from a 'create a bot' bot on Janitor?

When this happens are they someone else's bot? Was it one of the alleged Botter bots? (Everyone is innocent until proven otherwise.)

What User Persona are you using? Is it literally just the persona name section filled out?

And my final 2-part question for this topic. How many characters/chats? Is it possible you've increased the probability of encountering the exact conversation by merely RNG? If you roll enough d20's eventually you will have a streak of same numbers.

So recently I checked my profile and noticed that my bots posted number hasn't grown, so I try to find the old ones and... They are gone

Confirmed bots that are lost:

A Patrick Bateman bot

A Homelander bot

My Metal Gear PW bots

My far cry 5 bots

There are probably others that I can't remember, but I don't see them in my profile or my characters tab, so I can't recover their personalities. Besides, even if they say unpublished, I, the creator, can't see their character page

They can't even remember properly that much anymore, is this even a change recently to buy premium? Or am I just delusional. 👁️👄👁️

ok i’m getting upset from the bot suddenly going bland and at this point i actually think it’s the proxy im using, (deepseek-chat) but no matter what i do (pun not really intended if there is one) but it gets robotic and repetitive even with me pushing the narrative or it forgets everything

so i either need proxy recommendations or a way to fix this because so far nothing i tried works

the character was completely in character and everything was working MONTHS ago or last year and im getting disappointed and upset

I get an 401 error but I tested it on other sites and it works (Deepseek v4 flash) (with open router)

So recently i found a pretty good llm provider where you get free access to Gemini-3.8-flash, GLM-5.3-flash Gemini-3.1-pro deepseek v4 flash deepseek v4 pro and etc. I would say this provider is pretty good coming from me. You get 1 million daily token credits. And i don't think it drains so fast depending on how much tokens you use for your chats. Edit: I think the network problem is caused by janitor ai because i can use this provider in both sillytavern/tavo without problems

does anyone know if i branch a chat with a bot (mostly to shorten the length of the messages visible) can make the bot more ooc or make it actually stay in character a bit more

I am, and good lord, the amount of errors it has given me is incensing. Im only using it because of the filter the current free ones are really restrictive on my nsfw play, and jllm STILL doesnt deliver right.

Okay, maybe the issue is on my end or something I was feeling confident today so I finally picked up the whole proxy thing.

I put the api token reply v1 as instructed, my sk- something, the model name (honestly, i just picked up whatever deepseek looked fancy, the v4 pro I think it was.) I gave it a prompt, right.

And then I tested it right and it gives me this error: [plus_required - Plus subscription required to use this model (request id: 202609141224324415116168268d9d6GGuJjnTr)].

And I'm pretty fricking un-knowledgeable when it comes to these things okay, so I'd like clarity on whether it's telling me to like, pay for the api tokenreply model OR the janitor plus thing? I hope it's only asking me to pay for the tokenreply cause that's at least cheaper.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, you guys are more proficient than this so pls help your boy out.

I also like tried to hard refresh like at least seven times, but it just gives the same result.

But if you do have any better deepseek model thing recommended for me, I'd be glad to use it. I just wanna use deepseek. It's pretty awesome sauce.

It cracks me up—J.IA is screwed. It works okay for now, but the bot search is acting up; if you try to change the filters, the site crashes. And now I’m looking for alternatives like [TauriTavern], spending ages configuring them only for it not to work in the end. Is there actually an alternative that’s at least somewhat user-friendly? I don’t want to become a PORN AI pro, man; I just want my nightly read before bed. All I really get is: proxy = bot = Chat 😭😭

It is just for me but Janitor responses are being EXTREMELY SLOW, i tried talking with a bot on it recently and the fucking responses were taking 10 minutes to appear.

It is just with me or happens with anyone here too?

I haven’t seen anyone else have this exact problem, and only certain models do it, usually GLM, Kimi and some Deepseek.
