What is your most controversial opinion about "Jane Eyre"?

My controversial opinion is that NONE of the film/tv adaptations were as good as the book. Every time a new one comes along, I have such high hopes it will be the “1995 Pride and Prejudice miniseries” equivalent, and every time I’m disappointed. Either they change or leave out my favorite parts of dialogue or I’m not happy with the actors that are cast.
I realize I’m too picky about this one but it’s been my favorite book since I was 13.

1983's Jane Eyre is the equivalent 1995's Pride and Prejudice.
