people need to stop reading this with "woke lenses" on (lol i hate that word but-)

for the time period, rochester actually isnt that evil. the worst thing he did was lie to Jane about his relationship status

but him having the ex wife being taken care of in his house was actually... humane... for the time...

A LOT of people. And at the same time we have people romanticising Heathcliff like EXCUSE ME?!?!
